I love Alain's method of teaching French. He is so articulate, and he makes learning the language a lot of fun! Unfortunately, I am having difficulies matching your pronunciation of some French words, such as "prendre", "rouge", etc. Some French sounds are not so easy to imitate (for me, at least) but i love the language and will make every effort to learn it!!
@druzhbu Thanks Druzhbu, I appreciate the input. You're right, some French words are difficult to pronounce but you don't have to sound like a native to be understood. If you're close enough, you should be understood by most. In answer to your questions: 'D'accord, merci' means 'Okay, thank you', and 'Non, j'aime les elephants' means, 'No, I like elephants'.
Thanks for all the positive comments. xXIVANROJASXx, you're right, both 'je voudrais (I would like) and donnez-moi s'il vous plait (please give me) are often used to order drinks (or food).
xD niiicee, good job ive already learned thiz, don't people sometimes say Je voudrais..nd dunnez-moi... s'il-vous-plait, you shouild add those in your videos :D Je voudrais un chocolat chaud
Bonjour, Alain! Merci beaucoup! Je suis enseignante de francais et je suis toujours en train de chercher des clips pour les debutants. J'espere ajouter un lien a ce clip a un cours que je prepare. Bonne continuation--j'ai hate de voir plus de vos clips!
@Alexandisandra Thanks Alexandisandra, the name of the lovely lady is Josette Zsagarobovitch. And in case her name sounds familiar, yes, she is the one who studied serious acting at the London School of Serious Acting under Sir Walter Raleigh the IVth. When not living in Iceland with her 7 cats, she is often seen in Monaco partying with the likes of Mick Jagger, Paris Hilton, and Dick Cheney.
@Alexandisandra Thanks Alexandisandra. The lovely lady's name is Josette but if you're trying to fix her up with your brother, she already has several boyfriends.
Alain, thanks for a great video! I just stumbled upon it through a search, but you are a good teacher, and good at playing 3 different people! Will watch the rest of your videos, merci.
I really like your video. It is easy to learn and direct get to point. It is helpful for me...
