i will try to explain: The Divine godhead is 3 persons in 1 essence that is to say you have 3 consubstantial (equal) conscious selfhood's in one essence non-conflicting yet distinct. Indeed God is one as we say in our divine liturgy "One God and One Might", but also 3 persons in 1 essence. Yes that verse you quoted is about the unity of Christians to the Trinity and to one another. but you failed to explain my other quote, also here is another John 10:30 "I and the Father are One" said Christ. God is not a single person, loving himself alone, not a self-contained monad. But 3 equal persons dwelling in the other 2 by unceasing movement of mutual love.

You are right. orthodox andcatholic Churches teach wrong way about the God who is not three or three person. God is One and thats it. Jesus is son of God. Jesus was created by God. If God is only a "unity", and "One" in that sense, then God's essence is not LOVE. For if God was "alone" at one time, where would his love be? Only in a thought? That by defintion, is not real. If he did not create, and lived alone, there would be no love. But with the Trinity, God is Love, just as the scriptures declare.

The Scripture tells us, that is why I say this. The scripture says "God Is Love". You can't say God became Love, if he was alon-- he was not love. It is as simple as that. God., asks us in the scripture to "reason together". Remember, Adam was Created in the Image of God, but God said "It is not good for the Man to be Alone". And you can't judge God and the Trinity, by human reasoning either. It works both ways. If you say God is Love while being alone, then you have to admit God "HAD" to make other people. Let us suppose God did not make anyone else, and remained by himself, how is this Love? With the Trinity, God is Love, and from his person flows relationship.
