Dude, I have to say this is probably the best video I've ever seen. Mad props, as now I don't have to learn to use any crappy WMM or Sony video program to give the world something awesome.
Just rip me out of my reality n drop me in the silent hill, mother nature of sweet pain n sorrow. I prefer going crazy n living in the silent hill dimension than in this bitter reality! God, if only this could be true!
Hey Everybody! I have just released my new electronic album “Sub-Zero” which is heavily influenced by the world of Silent Hill and the music of Akira Yamaoka. If you're interested you can listen to the full album on my youtube channel, as well as download the album for free!
I can agree with you. Silent Hill: Homecoming was actually the first Silent Hill game I played. Not that I didn't know about them, but I decided to start playing them when I saw the trailer for that game. But when I got into the other games, I realized that the deep story thing wasn't in it, but still OK. The creatures did seem a bit harder to defeat and I felt good about killing the creatures in the others cause I knew they weren't as hard. :P
when you play silent hill, in the morning or at night... it doesn't seem to frighten me.. it only makes me stronger.. i can live in the dark and fear don't longer apply :)
@spiketrigger i agree, silent hill 3 was twisted, and it was alot more fun to kill things then in homecomeing.the fighting in homecomeing was too complacated for a silent hill game. it took away from the story line.
@southparklover18 yeah i know XD i liked the fighting in homecoming too. It made the monsters seem like a Actually threat for once XD . That wasn't my issue with homing coming (although i wish he had a 180 degree turn , like in the others) My problem was that "grindhouse" storyline. It wasn't NEARLY as deep as the other silent hills , HELL even SH 4 was deeper XD . SH homingcoming just didn't seem twisted enough , deep , or long...i felt like i was playing resident evil 5 ~.~"
I thought that just the instrumental compositions of Akira Yamaoka were beautiful, but with the kind and angelical voice of Melissa Williamsom ( mary Elizabeth Mcglynn) its like a piece of heaven coming down to Earth, and we are blessed with the art of song. So Peaceful, so beautiful, so pure and also scary
unless you had some military grade weapons to tear through the creatures lol. Assault Rifles would be awesome if you actually were trapped in a silent hill setting.
I love Silent Hill music!! In fact, I think this is one of my most favorite Silent Hill songs besides You're Not Here and Room of Angel. Akira Yamaoka is my idol, and Mary Elizabeth McGlyn has a wonderful voice that can sound desperate, seething, and sad at the appropiate times! Silent Hill music ftw!!!
omg i remember playing this game 2 years ago! omg i loved it! but... it did make me depressed so i would stop and play animal crossing! then once i was happy again head back into SH! the only reason i was depressed is becasue im used to games were u talk to npcs but in silent hill there is no one lol still one fucking good game!

What? Are lyrics about broken hearts and the sort associated with emo these days, or something? ._^ I've read too many times that the Mary Elizabeth McGlynn/Akira Yamaoka works sound like Evanescence, and now emo? :P Tsk. Sounds more like a soft Guano Apes song to me.
Here's a trivia! Did you know that the the singer for this song is actually the Voice actress of Rosso the Crimson in Final Fantasy VII: Dirge of Cerberus?
Bing! Mary Elizabeth McGlynn sings this song, along with "You're Not Here", "Letter From Lost Days", and another song or two on SH4. She does have an amazing voice; she's done some VAing and sung in a few animes, video games, and films.
Also Emo wasn't out in America or Japan when this first came out. Back in '03 no one knew what "emo" was. It sounds more grunge to me, IF any of you know what that is.
Another thing the song is not performed in Japanese. Neither is te voice acting in the Japanese ver. of Silent Hill series, it's all in english. However, the script was originally in Japanese, including lyrics but rewritten to fit into English.
neat footage but the lyrics are so many flavors of LAME.... Emo...Pop....It's like a double-dip of bad songwriting. XD With a bit of 'edgy' guitar sprinckled on top.
Well, the song writer is a japenese dude named Akira (who also happens to be the creator of all of silent hill and teh games itself)and since half of the world plays tehse games he has no idea what people like
I know he does a lot of great work, and I respect him. This song is just realy poorly conceived, that's all... It sounds like he was trying too hard to please pop and emo fans instead of focusing on quality and artistry, you know?
If the song was performed in Japanese, the lyrics could mean something different entirely. Perhaps the lyrics were directly translated from Japanese, thus explaining the feeling of something lacking in the words.
aaaw, lolz, it could be worse...I mean, the songwriter could've titled it like "Stabby McStab my heart out" or "Taking Back Tuesday" haha. But, yeah...lyrics can lack a bit, but you have to remember that translating from Japanese to English and such can make for a lame song. haha.
Heather is so nice, i like her so much!
During the game, expecialy in the final levels, on hard mode sometimes i had afraid for her safety... I don't wanna see she die!!
