I am Spanish and I don't think Spain deserved to be world champion this year, but we were better than Germany, a team that got tired every last 15 minutes. You don't make clear who should pay the mystical money to whom?! German public broadcasting services bribing the outcome of the handball championship? The german Handball league (which is quite poor) bribing the championship? 1- Making the local team win makes locals go to see it, if Germany wins, many people go to the matches and watches it on TV, that's money, don't worry who makes it, it's money movement.
2- German federation is very important for IHF, they take imoportant part of decissions and one of those decissions is about choosing the referees, every federation makes a choice, but some of them are listened first.
That's a quite simple/naive assessment of the situation. If it would be that simple, Germany would have won the Soccer Championship 2006, too. Germany may be important for IHF, but many others are, too! As long as you cant give any proof of bribery or direct control, you have to respect the outcome of the game, even if it's based on faulty referee decisions, otherwise it's an insult to the german national team, who just played as good as it could. spain is a much better team than germany in handball, we played aceptable that game. But it is so obvious even for a german teutonic supporter that the referee helped germany all the way. In the last 10 minutes i felt that spain had been robbed in the most nasty way. And everybodie could see that. You don´t know anything about handball if you do you have to recognize that the decisions were set against spain in the last 10 minutes. Exclussions and weird decisions gave germany one easy goal and the game. Germany may be important for IHF, but many others are, too! As long as you cant give any proof of bribery or direct control, you have to respect the outcome of the game, even if it's based on faulty referee decisions, otherwise it's an insult to the german national team, who just played as good as it could. No proof+blaming it on referees= bad looser

Why should the referees have been corrupted? Who benefits from that? - 1) for the IHF and the whole sport this would be a great damage to its reputation and a much greater material damage than any payment which could have been made by a mystical great dark german power (who??!) 2) as long there is no proof of bribery, one has to assume that the professional referees did their job as good as they were capable 3) In sports mistakes by referees always happen

Germany is a good team but the only one who plays with nine players in the match, that's funny, every german people who talks proudly of this world championship is a lier, it's imposible to be proud of this, i can talk about this, i feel proud of the team who wins in Tunez in 2005 they won without any help Could Germany told the same thing?

Flo congratulations to germany. It´s sad to admit this but the ihf is corrupt. Germany would have been robbed the same if the game was in spain. That´s handball. But flo don´t let your patriotism fool you, you must know that germany won but if you see the match you know that you would have never won against spain without the referee favours. That´s all and I am not moaning. Germany won , end of the topic.

Well, the game was not manipulatet i think both teams played very good handball and both teams are top teams.
Both Spain and Germany played as well as the other team.
So you can't say one team is better than the other. It was a hard match but at least one team has to win. And this also could have been Spain. Urios is a absolutely top player and there are more good players in his team.

What a disgrace! I was you I would definetely be ashamed of this worldcup. The discussion whether Spain played a good or bad game is actually irrelevant considering the situation.
I can not believe theere is no one in the entire Germany that can admit the fact that the game was manipulated deliberately. The next game against France only came to prove this end. Germany was set out to win the title for whatever reasons, I don't know. It must be some one objective out there!

yes germany won. I don´t care. But you´re the bad winner cause you are not objective and you are a handball fan? Any person from germany if he only knew a bit about handball and who watched the whole game would say that the referee did not let spain come back or even win that game with a lot of very dubious exclussions and decisions. Spain played acceptable but the ihf referees from norway really did what they had to do, which means steal spain from any chance to win that game.

And dont come with the referees, I know about handball and that wasnt the point. Verry sad about the fact that some (not all) spanish or frensh players and coaches are not able to be fair losers.

spain is a much better team than germany in handball, we played aceptable that game. But it is so obvious even for a german teutonic supporter that the referee helped germany all the way. In the last 10 minutes i felt that spain had been robbed in the most nasty way. And everybodie could see that. Please read the comments from some germans who are objective and they will tell the same.

You don´t know anything about handball if you do you have to recognize that the decisions were set against spain in the last 10 minutes. Exclussions and weird decisions gave germany one easy goal and the game. Spain could never come back, The germans were boxing the whole game so agressive in defence and the referees let them play that boxing game.

Listen: Why don't you just play chess. Handball ain't no sissy game samoa man. It do hurts some times. Don't you realize that the refs weren't German? All that bitching and moaning, after a tight game/decision. Strange you don't see this when Germany looses. That's good sportsman ship as well. Sometimes luck got to be on your side, too.
