@Kyrelu Doesn't matter what you are, catalyst/talisman always goes in the left hand regardless and it's a factual disadvantage to have it in the right hand. You want a Kris or something similar in your right so you can still backstab. Mages should be rolling, not blocking. Thus it always goes in the left hand. Period.

@Kyrelu Let me dumb it down so an idiot of your caliber can grasp the facts: Rolling/dodging is always better to do in Demon's Souls than blocking and the same applies to nearly all other games. It's better to not get hit at all than to have to block and take a stamina hit only to be ruined by someone's combo. If you're not terrible you're going to be wearing cloth *OR* you're going to be under half the weight limit for quick rolls. The Kris blade amplifies magic power, HNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!

Rolling is better in most cases but not all maps allow you to rely on it, plus the stamina bar will run out in a few rolls. The fact that you don't understand that pure mages do not use swords is amusing. Catalysts may go on whatever hand

U should use Kris blade+5 and Insanity Cat and u will definately do more dmg than with Silver cat.

I'm a noob soul level at a lowly 28, but pwned miralda, ut like a newb, I ran n everytime she tried walking back, i'd backstab her, rinse n repeat untill she was dead, taking her like a pro newb, then i got bushwood armour n that, they are EPIC!!!!!!

i killed her as a lv 1 royalty on my first playthrough i got the clingring before the fight though and + she was in bp form the only reason i won because i somehow glitched her ai all she would do was roll she would only attack 2 times every like 4 minutes XD also im doing a lv 1 run (pure lv 1 and trying to beat the game) so far ive gotten to the flamelurker im thinking of breaking his ai too D:

I started as a Magician so i think its a good class. My Milee attacks aint strong though....yet.

@CUKO28 get a crescent blade kilij or uchigatana and u can pretty much melle away trough anything, i hardly use magic spells with my royal now lol

also @Shinobi it doesn't matter that much what class you start out as (unless your doing a pure lv 1 run) because in the end you will be able to wield every weapon and wear any armor without a penalty. but i suggest starting out as a royal myself due to their special royal only ring (it recovers mp over time) and the fact they start out at lv 1 so it's easier to soul level at the start but it truly all comes down to how you want to play at the start and probably middle.

My Endurance is at 50 now thats why i can roll without losing movement. My Magic is at 70. On this video i think my Magic was at 63.
