This still ranks near the top (along with the Temp's Silent Night and Otis' White Christmas) as one of my all time favorite Christmas songs. I remember hearing it ALL NIGHT LONG when I was about 16 years old at my Aunt's house. Her cousin came over and sat on the couch and CRIED ALL NIGHT TO THIS SONG; she had JUST GOTTEN THE NEWS THAT HER HUSBAND HAD BEEN KILLED IN VIETNAM. Everyone else in the house was quite and all you could hear was this song and her cousin crying all night long.
