@sandrodream1 There is no english version, only a japan version and a asian version. the differents between the two is that the asian version comes with english instructions to help understand the controls. This game is over 4 years old, the only place to buy it is ebay or amazon for over $130 dollars. The asain version is hard to find.

The game is actually a video stream of the train lines, but they modified it to make it look like it slowed down ect. I would def get this, but 145 dollars...no thanks.

By any chance do you know the button arrangement, for example what button is to accelerate,open doors, ect.

@97565455 There is no doors open button, thats automatic. As for the rest, up is brake, down is acceleration, left is brake off, right is brake 1, (O) is to get off train, Triangle is horn. (X) & square (L2), (R2) not used. (L1) switch driver seat view, (R1) change view mode. (select button) wiper switch. Left and Right stick, driver seat view adjustment. This is for the brownline train only as the buttons change when u drive the other to trains.

I think you can make it English by, inserting it into the computer, finding the language files and editing them.

dude if you wanna drive real trains in real life...you cant leave the station that fast

it starts off slow and you gotta be patient

same thing for stopping you cant be going 30 miles per hour in the middle of the station and then come to an abrupt stop like that

I hope who ever owns this game can answer these questions for me. I cant really tell from this video but s the game using actual graphics or just videos from the actual locations? I feel like getting this game only because Im from Chicago and really miss it. Can you look around when using the train?

those graphics are pretty damn real. I mean that is exactly what riding the brown line looks like. the buildings and everything. they have just recently changed the armitage stop however. upgraded it.

No official controller has been released for this game but the Densha de go! type 2controller from Taito works with Railfan. But only with the first Railfan. For Railfan Taiwan high speed rail there's no controller that's compatible. I have tested personally with the Master controller II (Pony) as well as the Multi-Train controller (Sheeps) and also the Shinkansen controller (Taito) and the DDG Type 2 (Taito) and the last one is the only one working with Railfan 1.

yea it does what L train goes from forest park to o hare do you know what line that is my grandpa and i used to ride it all the time i loed the l when i was younger i bought this game for my ps3 cause its region free system i hope so it will bring back the memories

The Line you are talking about is the "Blue Line" It goes from Forest Park all the way northwest to O'Hare Airport. I believe on some routes instead of going to Forest Park it will go to 54th and Cermak as well.

Microsoft brought out Train Simulator quite awhile ago and it has a loyal following. Trainz cam out shortly there after, no suprises that PS3 would follow suit. If you are a serious railfan than this is heaven
