I remember when the rain started the night of 06/06-it was so hard it kept all of us awake most of the night! Next day when I went to work at Radio Shack in Northwood Plaza the East side of the parking lot had quite a bit of water-in just a few hours the entire lot was completely under water!!! The creek that runs behind the strip mall (Canary, I think?) was overflowing and as I watched out the back door the water kept rising until it was only about 5 or 6 inches from getting into our store!!!
I live in Marion county the park in our apt floods sometimes but never reaches our door. My old complex was flooded last year fortunately for us we had already moved out.
I was driving a Kia MiniVan that Was a rental because my wife was T-Boned in our chrysler in the intesection that I turned around to video. Had I been in my car, I would have not made it :o)
yeah... this was at 8:30am when I was returning from a saturday morning meeting... If I hadn't made it through that hill, I would have lost the vehcile... because Franklin Lakes Blvd., south street, U.S.31 were under water within the hour., within 2 hours.. they were under 3-5' + more water... just freakin crazy how fast it rose.
