They saw many things that were unpleasant. I'm not saying that Hinn is a great prophet but God's people today don't just see good things. Anyone, not just Benny Hinn or Pat Robertson can hear from God. Those who say they can't hear God are either not listening or else too far away from God to hear. Hearing God is much like in the natural in that the closer you are to a communication source, speaker, person, etc., the better and clearly you can hear. Many others are too busy talking to hear. They pray for one another as they should and for this and that, but don't spend quiet time with God so that He can communicate with them.
