As much as I love this band and others like it, I will admit that MCR and other "mainstream" songs are a guilty pleasure for me. I will also admit that I never quite figured out what we have to hate on everyone else... Of course,that doesn't mean that I don't like some music (things like Black Veil Brides and I see Stars and such Just aren't my cup of tea). I suppose the point I'm trying to make is that I see no reason to bash other genres. Then again, maybe I'm just the weirdo here...

I listen to bands like Eluveitie, Equilibrium, Kamelot, Stratovarius, Edguy, Avantasia, Firewind, Mystic Prophecy, Elvenking etc. Please don't insult all the other genres in good music. Slipknot isn't bad by any stretch of the imagination. Nowhere near as good as the others you've mentioned, and their fanboys are even worse then ETF, but they're not BAD.
