  • At 3:00 min: cancer is already cured: it's a candida-fungus infection curable with 'baking soda', search "dr tullio simoncini".

  • @WakeUpSleepIsDeath No...youre confusing thrush with cancer. Candida albicans does not cause cancer and you cannot cure it with sodium bicarbonate

  • @WakeUpSleepIsDeath You are quite insane and very racist.

  • Seriously, nobady made that joke yet?

    DOCTOR OCTAGONAPUS BUWHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!

  • Is there any credibility to Dr Bob Beck's work ??

  • Great to see the equipment setup, I believe we haven't yet begun to realize the full potential of what can be done with Laser light.

    Good work.

  • He sounds like Mr Bean!

  • Please crank up the volume on these videos and the sixty symbols ones. I keep having to adjust my volume all the time on my computer.

  • During a "Take your child to work" day:

Son: Father, when I grow up, I want to be a scientist just like you.

Dad: Good son. Now, tell me. What color light does the yellow cable transmit?

    Son: Yellow light?

Dad: Wrong. It's red light. Now, tell me what color light does the blue cable transmit?

    Son: Blue light?

Dad: Wrong. It's green light. Now, tell me what colour light does the black cable transmit?

Son: A colour that is neither red nor green!

    Dad: Wrong again.

Son grows up to be a politician.

  • Holy shit!

  • Slightly worrying that they'd install the likes of adobe reader on these systems.

  • Actually that was not a tipical microscope, but an inverted microscope...

  • laura is a cutie :)~

  • I expected octopi with frickin' laser beams on their heads.

  • @Trichomes503 The octupi were a lie.

  • Science is science, from any part where you start if you have the will to go deep you will a find a place with no boundaries.

  • I have the same sound for my school fire alarm.

  • The good old GFP and stuff : D haha

  • i was very disapointed after seeing the title.

  • 5:48 a seahorse

  • @Films4You thats why its named the horsehead nebula

  • @mathie92 Neat, thanks for this info.

  • I'm going to guess they can't achieve laser super cooling at this lab?

  • Optics

    -no joke! :)

  • Dark in here, because Laura is DOING SCIENCE.

  • Octopuses with FRICKIN LASER BEAMS ATTATCHED WITH THEIR FRICKIN HEADS!

  • 0:42 - twelve lasers ? It should be called duodecimpus - not an octopus .... xD

  • @LechuCzechu oh how I wished they called it the duodecimpus... that would be cool!

  • @BackstageScience

    I kind of like 'disquidopus'.

  • @LechuCzechu @3:51 -- that's why it's called an Octopus.

  • @LechuCzechu *facepalm. it would be dodecapus

  • A man can never have too many lasers.

  • By optical tweezers you mean tractor beam right. Just say tractor beam it's 100% cooler.

  • not gonna lie, I blanked out for about a third of the video just thinking about organizing all the icons on those desktops lol

  • I was expecting to see something completely different...

  • That last minute or so in regards to linking whole galaxies and single cells was particularly interesting.

  • Isn't it kinda confusing that the yellow cable transmits red light, the blue green light and the black one 3 different colors?

  • @uut0 hmm, I'm sure there is some logical reason!? :)

  • @BackstageScience What I think is the case is that yellow indicates that it is a single mode cable, blue single mode with polarization and that the black indicates that there are multiple cables inside the cable. (sorta like that electric cables have blue/brown/green-yellow cables to indicate certain things) :O

  • @BackstageScience

Cheaper than having a custom fiber optic cable made to match the colors.

  • @BackstageScience i guess the company was running out of plastic, and used what they had

  • @uut0 i would think its to stop light bleeding in of the wrong colour if you had a red cable on the red laser then you might collect another wavelength of red light but a different colour cable would absorb any red light instead of reflecting it

  • Weeeeee
