Sorry, but big green bullets... That's called a Fuel Rod Gun. And corvette is pronounced (core-vet).

@adamantfox when your in the firefight menu, just click "game options" and you can make yourself invulnerable and then edit the wave properties to be "elite general" instead of all the grunts and stuff. Also turn off drop ships or it takes forever.
