@TOPCARSNET Not that I'm encouraging jailbreaking, but if your iOS is jailbroken, there's an app called DisplayOut and it mirrors everything you do on your device to your TV. Otherwise, all you'll see is photos, videos, etc like you said.

yo just for the record the apple cables are made in china too so are the ipods so thats why you just go on ebay and buy this same cable (generic of course) for like $1 compared to whatever this one costs

@p154831 LOL damn I just read the bottom of the box. I have generic connection cables and they don't work - the video looks messed up and the sound only works if you don't plug it in all the way. I got this cable for only 5.99 on ebay but yeah...
