  • Hi Yvonne, thanks for your message. I'm happy to hear you like my soondubu recipe. :)

  • This is by far the best recipe I've tried. Even my husband said it tasted like the restaurant's. My kids love it everytime I make it. This is definately a keeper. I accidentally bought the wrong hot pepper paste but it still came out really good. I bought the hot soybean paste and I think I like that a little bit better. Thanks for sharing.

  • I've tried making sundubu a couple of times before. But I just used your recipe, tweaked it a little bit, and it's the closest to restaurant-quality sundubu! I soaked dried kelp in dashi for 30 minutes, then I added Korean chili pepper to your paste recipe.

  • @TheBaconEggAndCheese I'm glad your sundubu came out great! The dried kelp in dashi does wonders for soups and stews. Good Job! :-)

  • Yes of course you can use hard tofu too. It's just more traditional to use silken tofu for this recipe.

  • can you use hard tofu instead. i prefer it and soft tofu has very minimal protein

  • 아 배고파...쩝

  • is that real hair?

  • @itubeyoublah Yes, every lock of my hair is real and mine!

  • Not sure what I just saw!!

  • Very nice kitchen!

  • This is an excellent dish, a dish that both vegetarians and non-vegetarians can enjoy!

    Thanks.

  • @vnck25 Thank you. Let me know how it comes out. :-)

  • did she use Japanese soy paste or Korean ?

  • @lnd1o1 It was definitely Korean dwenjang paste!

  • This is so cool! The beginning part is so epic! its like a start of a Drama tv show :D

  • Can u list name of all the gredients plez?

  • One of my favourite dish, however would appreciate in view of kitchen hygiene, if you could tie up your hair, it's way too long and quite unsightly..

And portobello mushrooms for a korean dish? Hmmmmm..something quite unusual?

    Thanks. No offence intended

  • @jiawei27 no offense intended? (typo there?) you've already spilled the milk lady, or dude. IMHO, there are no rules to cooking, and from where I come from there are no asian stores around so I have to get whatever that's comparable to the ingredients that are recommended. BTW, her hair looks beautiful and sightful! Hmmm, detecting a little jealousy there.... just like the other gals that leave distasteful comments on other people's videos. Then why don't you start creating your own videos??

  • Thank you for the highlight, obviously you are her great fan!

Maybe you failed to see the point I am trying to make. But that's ok. You are entitled to your comment likewise I am too.

    No jealousy or comparison needed.

  • i had this the other day , it was so good !

  • i hate how she didn't even finish cooking it

  • You're allowed only 10 minutes of video on youtube. The rest of the episode is available for viewing.

  • @matahariwk Funny, you only used up 5:57 mins not 10 mins

  • looks delicious.

  • Thank you! Hope you try it out sometime. Adding kimchi will also give it extra spicy flavour!

  • The best are Haemul Soon Doobu! Man, I miss it SO much already...

  • Very nice production! Looks great to eat too!

  • Yum Yum!

  • I had tried this soup couple times it's fun to eat. They just opened up a new place where I live called "Korean So Dam Restaurant" in Garden Grove you should check it there if you have come to California. I've heard it's a best place to eat Korean food.

  • This is the oddest soondubu (Tofu Stew) that I have ever seen. I

  • do we have to use mushroom?

wat if we don't like them.

  • spicy tofu soup is my favoriteeee!!!!! now i can make it myself at home! :)

  • Haha, because us Asian are all look alike~ We all speak "Asian".

  • hmmmmmmmmmmn im getting so hungry right now and just to let you know i also love a dengjjangcchiggae ang kkamjjatang

  • I know what you mean. I actually love and miss kkamjjatang myself! But as you know, it's hard to get the chunky meaty pork bones in the stores here, if you know what i mean. :-)

  • i know exactly what you mean coz in my country we also cook some kind of dish using the same kind of meat boney and chuncky meat on it
