@MultiMatinek crossbows and bows aren't silent or cheap. An average new crossbow or bow costs $500-$400. And the cheapest arrows are $5 each, and the broadheads are even more. But I can buy a ruger 10/22 for under $200 and use the other $200 to buy 5550 rounds for it.

I have a Dillon RL-550 B and a LEE turret press.I have dies for all the calibers of firearms I own.I also have bullet molds and lead for casting bullets,and powder ,primers etc.I am glad I have this on hand as you cannot depend on the local stores to have the ammunition you need to keep your stock replenished.

Even Wal-Mart has limited you to 6 boxes per day. What really pissed me off was while Wal-Mart was limiting me, they were selling cases to local cops to take to the range I belong to and waste. Plus you have to second guess how they report crime statistics, the same people that do the compiling are the same people whos jobs get affected by crime rates and figures. I am still having problems getting 45 ACP ammo. I have to hit up walmart as soon as they get it in or I can't get any for a while. Even if I go there the day that they get it they usually run out by that evening.

Own more than most gun stores at cheap 2006 prices. Same with guns. I did a few things right. Been buying silver ssince 1990.

The size of my ammo stash is limited to what I can carry on my person in the event I need to immediately leave or escape for whatever reason. These people buy thousands upon thousands of rounds, but in the event you need to leave at a moment's notice, you cannot take all of that with you. I keep a separate, constantly-flowing stash of ammo for training, which I replenish when it gets low, but beyond that we shouldn't dump money into ammo we wont even be able to use if the SHTF.

@MultiMatinek crossbows and bows aren't silent or cheap. An average new crossbow or bow costs $500-$400. And the cheapest arrows are $5 each, and the broadheads are even more. But I can buy a ruger 10/22 for under $200 and use the other $200 to buy 5550 rounds for it.

I have a Dillon RL-550 B and a LEE turret press.I have dies for all the calibers of firearms I own.I also have bullet molds and lead for casting bullets,and powder ,primers etc.I am glad I have this on hand as you cannot depend on the local stores to have the ammunition you need to keep your stock replenished.

B.O.,( before Obama), I told all of my gun owning friends to stock up. Those who listened, thanked me, those who didn't are now scrambling for overpriced ammo. Even Wal-Mart has limited you to 6 boxes per day. What really pissed me off was while Wal-Mart was limiting me, they were selling cases to local cops to take to the range I belong to and waste. The trash barrel at the range designated for police use was full of Wal-Mart stickered empty 1000 round cases. Stock up when repubs are in!

@RETIREMESOON actually let me point out that although there is less pollution in USA due to less manufacturing plants...china operates with few pollution regulations unlike the USA with EPA ..so it can be argued that with little regulation on chinese factory pollution it may become a global issue ..one reason why some usa manufacturing plants moved to china is because passing USA EPA manufacture standards is expensive and difficult. as opposed to china who has little to no regulations

@RETIREMESOON New Rainforrest cafe, New 10 story county building in 2009 , new Gold's Gym and many more have been and are currently being built ground up just in my city alone....im not starving or homeless and actually have made a few new firearm purchases recently totalling over 1,200.. a new winchester 30-06 rifle and a new Ruger SR9c pistol..i own 3 cars which are all paid for ..bought my 2,500sqft. home in 2008 where my daughter and wife and I live..i can tell u my life is good here

Some people are not going to make it as prices rise from inflation and they will become homeless like the 1930'3.We need to be compassionate to the suffering they are going through. Crime will increase to new levels when regular folks are hungry and cold.

@trugemini6382 cool and fair comment but if you look at the bad side to them it sort of out weighs the good side iv fired guns too and appreciate the buzz of them, one of the fire arms iv used was a 357 magnum with infra red scope, almost pointless shooting practice with one as where ever you put the dot and squeeze theres a great big hole left everytime! a hole big enough to plant a tree : )

Some military casing are sold to retailers. but it's primarily 5.56.

The video and audio both only talked about "ammo" (short for ammunition a.k.a. bullets). Without bullets a baseball bat or yard rake is a better weapon than a rifle. @starshock01 I understand law against self loading is in the works. You won't be able to buy material, empty casings, etc. only a rumor. I stocked up four years ago before things got nutty. Own more than most gun stores at cheap 2006 prices. Same with guns. I did a few things right. Been buying silver ssince 1990.

There is no way that guns or anything related will get banned. It is our 2nd amendment right and they will never change the constitution. I beleove in having ammo handy but not to much I only keep as much as I need to pratice and if I start getting low I get more there is no need to have 2000+ rounds if I only use 3-400 at a time

The size of my ammo stash is limited to what I can carry on my person in the event I need to immediately leave or escape for whatever reason. These people buy thousands upon thousands of rounds, but in the event you need to leave at a moment's notice, you cannot take all of that with you. I keep a separate, constantly-flowing stash of ammo for training, which I replenish when it gets low, but beyond that we shouldn't dump money into ammo we wont even be able to use if the SHTF.
