Firs, I've created small spherical PCloud, and animated it on a spline, so it would move around. Then, I've created a Deflector with small bounce and a lot of friction for the particles to slide on it's surface. This is the first part. The second, where all the fire and smoke gets the power was made with a engine force added in fume fx solve. I don't remember how exactly, yoy'll need to experiment a bit on this.
This reminds me of Prince of Persia. I like the smoke at the end. It would be cool to have the animation a little bit longer untill all the smoke dissapears.

FumeFX is plugin for 3D software "3D studio MAX" you can do pyrotechnical, fire, smoke effects... Realy nice

6 hours for 120 frames... Yeah, this is the only problem of FumeFX =)
Try to set sensivity to 5-10, must be much faster, withough any bad-effect.
