If you understand the basics of how illusionists operate...common methods, tricks etc...Brown is easy to figure out. Watch his "video game" illusion. 1. He displays abilities that are actually woo-woo bullsh-t that no hypnotist has ever demonstrated. Secondly, if it's real mentalism without a stooge, it's kidnapping and several other crimes.

great lesson on difficulty doing magic for attractive women. they've been treated like idiots most of their lives so they get defensive. make them feel at ease. *sweeping generalization zone* some lack self confidence because they can be self-critical, driving them to look better, learn more, etc.; magic can be seen as a challenge to intellect.

I watch a lot of DB stuff. what was said about mostly showing the misses I guessed was true...it is what happens with most "in the street" shows...

you have three groups of people.

1. people it worked on.

2. people it didn't work on.

3. people who don't want to appear on TV.

you end up with just showing mostly ones and showing some twos.

ive seen derren explain this trick on his website, i dont really think it works, he's probarbly put this trick up to make people believe that he uses only psychological tricks. He makes the audience believe he has some great understanding of psychology, so that they concentrate on his body language ect rather than the slight of hand he is using.

Neat tricks, but I don't like to use those myself. I prefer tricks with less chance of failure. That's not to say I never do anything with a chance of failure, but I've never had good luck with psychological forces.
