08s are still at the factory because the cars are hand made. They are made in lots depending on the color thats ordered. So yes there are still Vipers there for the Viper blue, black, and violet wich are just now being released.

Face it, GM put all their eggs into the ZR1 basket and now it has been crushed by the ACR. The ZR1 is pretty much maxed out where the Viper can bolt on a Belanger system and push 675hp... and thats with a simple bolt on. The Vette will always be second. Sorry...

you really think that top speed is everything with a car and determines how "fast" it is? top speed is mostly irrelevant on the track. you'd need a ridiculously wide ratio to go 180+ mph anyway and that would kill you on the track and get all bogged down below your ideal power band.

A couple of corrections to clarify your comment. The ZR-1 is going to have 620+ horsepower and 600+ lbs. of torque. Also, it's anticipated to have a 0-60 in the low 3's, not 3.6. 3.6 is around the Z06's ball park. Expect a time of around 3.1 seconds from 0-60 and a lap around the prestigious Nurburgring facsimilar or faster than a Porsche Carrera GT.
