Thx for the response. I have a 1992 Toyota Camry, 3.0 V6 that I suspect has a mild level compression leak. I have posted a couple of previous repairs on this car on youtube, and as I test it for a compression leak with the same type tester, I will put my results up for others to also see as you did. Thx for sharing your information. -r.
Heya... I was a professional mechanic for many years, and as such I had to deal with a lot of cooling system issues. Your version of the tester is very similar to what I used, and what I LOVE about your video is how you used your breath to show the color changes. GREEN means perhaps a 'mild' issue, which might not show overheating all the time, just ocassionally, and YELLOW in my experience indicates a more 'direct' compression leak into the system. Thx for posting this! r-
@reluctorvalve Thanks,.. The breath test as a suggestion by a collegue to show the changes in colour since we had nothing with a gasket leak to show as an example.
COULD YOU GUYS RENDER SOME ASSISTANCE "PLEASE" ?
MY 98 NISSAN BLUEBIRD LEGRAND ( QG ENGINE ) KEEPS GIVING ME A ROUGH IDLE AND I SMELL GAS COMING FROM THE ENGINE ROOM
HOOKED IT UP TO A SCANNER AND IT SHOWED THAT AIR FLOW SENSOR Was bad
CHANGED THE SENSOR AND STILL HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM:ROUGH IDLE/ GAS RICH GAS SMELL
CHECKED THE LINES FOR LEAKS AND FOUND NONE. ARE WE OVERLOOKING SOMETHING HERE?
PLEASE ASSIST.. . . . . . . . . .
