In the first moment I was a little bit sceptical but when I saw them in the Semifinal and Final my opinion completely changed and they were my favorite. A man called Sjonni wrote this song and the day before this song aired in TV he collpased in his home and one of his kids UNDER 10 had to call the ambulance but it was to late. I'm Icelandic and I love this song! But when there was only one country left I thought it would be Norway so I had given up hope, and then what happens? Iceland is last for the third time in a row! Couldn't be more happy for us, just sad for Norway! Btw, this is from the Icelandic National Broadcaster RÚV, but like many others, the commentator had some technical problems.

The guy who wrote this song (Sjonni) died just a few days before he was going to perform it on the Icelandic Eurovision qualifying contest. So instead these guys (his friends) decided to perform it in his honour. That's why they're called Sjonni's friends...

Sjonni wrote this song with his wife. Sjonni was only a young man when he suddenly fell down at his home and died. He leaves behind his wife and the 4 kids they have together. His biggest wish was to be on Eurovision.
