The Military (US military anyway) shoots blanks out of real rifles when they train, police use either blanks for resin replicas of weapons.

Nobody uses airsoft guns to train, it's just airsoft kids that want to look cool.

@jaybeebee14 The internals won't wear down any time soon if you keep lubricating it with silicone oil every month. The difference from having a GBB version of the M4 to the BP version is that, the GBB M4 is made for those people who like real life simulations, a real M4 Carbine firearm holds 30 bullets, the GBB holds 32 BB's, that's as real as you're going to get while the battery operated version holds 300 BB's but then since the GBB is full metal you can use Green Gas which is quite powerful.

Can someone tell me if it's worth buying a gas blowback rifle($350) over an AEG? I already have an AEG, and everyone at my field uses them, no milsim teams around, only play once a week.

@airsoftmeister94 Only if the zip zip bothers you that much. Since nobody else uses GBB it will be harder for you to get someone to unfuck your gun in case something bad happens.

If you are used to full auto, you'd have to get used to spray less, because when gas expands, it cools. Freezing the o'rings will crack them.

No the old stuff from WE sucks. The new designs are much better. Plus they are going to be making real training weapons. They have one of the best operating blowback systems. I have not had 1 problem with my g39 blowback. All my kwa gas guns have problems after the first use in a scrimmage.

@monstermaxx the old brass tube rifles are better actually. they have steel bolts while the new so called "open bolt system" rifles have zinc alloy bolts. still, i use the new ones myself just for the added realism, but the bolt busted after 500 rounds or so and needed to be fixed (scar-L)

Basic Gun Handling Rules

1) FInger off trigger until ready to shoot.

2) Point in Safe Direction.

3) Treat every gun as if it's already loaded.

Remember armed forces use these guns for simulators. Muscle memory from real gun moves to airsoft, and vise versa. Remember that, know that! :)
