I taste french food and it sucks..the only good thing about france is the pastrys.. and champagne..i dont even know why french food is considered a world food..everytime i travel to different big citys..all i see is asian, mexican, persian, italian restaurants..never see a french eatery ..why is is considered a world class eatery? hahaha
@MrManny7426 Wow, are you ever ashamed of your total ignorance? First off all "eatery" is a synonym for restaurant, not a cuisine, so French cooking is not an eatery, duh! Not, as to why French cuisine is considered world class has a lot to do with Paul Escoffier and that he basically invented the concept of haute cuisine, serving high-end versions of classic French dishes. The fact that you don't like French food means nothing, the WORLD disagrees with you.
@MrManny7426 P.S.if you don't see a French restaurant in the city you're looking in, it's not a very good food city, it's far more likely that an ignorant piece of crap like you just doesn't recognize French cuisine, and even if you could, you can't afford to eat at a French restaurant, anyway.
@musiclover3928 i seriously doubt this show is a good representative of french behavior, bourdain isn't just some random tourist. everyone tends to be on their best behavior around the guy
I never really watched much of this show in till he went to france and that caught my attention, now i watch it all the time but nothing beats these episodes.
In Kitchen Confidential, Tony mentions what separates home cooking from restaurant cooking, and in a word, it's butter. They use a ton of butter (with oil) in restaurants. He wasn't lying. Just look at 07:16...one dish with easily three-quarters of a stick!
All the greats of today are there. When it comes to France, Bourdain knows the place and the people well (unlike his Hong Kong choices haha). You can trust him on this one. Anthony on t'adore!
That host forgot to mention (intentionally) how rude the mo fo waitress are in Paris (and the habitants as well or inmigrants wanna be) and how arrogant are chefs, and MOSTLY the food sucks and is very expensive, there are 8 cafe per block and 7 of them serve cold bread with a lettuce an some ham, at 7 euros. The city is beautiful but dont expect me to leave my money there anytime soon cause is an atmosphere of bad humour there..
OMG!!! thank you, thank you, thank you.... I'm studying abroad in Paris and I was desperately searching for his new episode because, I've been traveling Europe and trying most of the food from Bourdain's previous episodes.... I'm ready for my new Parisan gastronomical adventures!!!.... mercy =)

This is clear proof that not all French people are jerks to foreigners. One of the nicest people i've ever met in Europe was from France.
