@masterermac The Knights of the Old Republic series got downgraded into a WoW clone. Dragon Age: Origins was a pretty good game, but got rushed and downgraded into a simplified console hack-n-slash. The excellent Baldur's Gate series is dead and buried because they're too busy making their dating sims and masquerading them as RPGs. The only series that's not yet fucked up is Mass Effect, but it's more of a third-person shooter than an RPG. And we'll see how ME3 works out.

@VenomTSH I have not followed TOR that much as I am not a MMO player myself, but I can't say I agree about DA:O. True it is by no means a BG or even close, but it still was one of the best RPGs for quite a while and it didn't feel at all like a H&S to me, unlike DA2. DA:O had you a lot more involved in the battles, had good party interaction and an over-all well done storyline and interesting lore. I also hope they don't screw up ME3, but then again they've had more time with it than with DA2.

@masterermac Oh sorry, I phrased it wrong. I meant that DA:O was great, but the sequel was rushed and hack-n-slashy. That's why I got so disappointed, I feel like they've ruined and oversimplified a really good game with a lot of potential. As far as TOR goes, I was psyched for it at the beginning, until I've seen the latest footages, they just look like a WoW clone with little to no innovation, unlike say Guild Wars 2. And yeah, I have high hopes for ME3.

to be fair, they do listen to their fans. We had no idea what DA2 would be like, but there's so many haters on the forums now that even lionhead would listen to them if in Bioware's shoes. I'm sure DA3 will be better :P

Everyone at CD Projekt RED, please, do this!
