For me, it's great to hear that song on a not so soft sounding piano, played a bit faster than the original. Gives that song some shift, some interesting change. One should never take something as written in stone... -- Greatly played!

if you want to know, to get rid of some self doubt, then i can tell you that this piece is very simple (yet beautiful!). it consist of two parts (which you repeat at a different octav) which are very very easy to learn.

and i think IF someone learned by ear, they would get a sheet afterward just to be sure of the chords. so your answer will most likely be "i learned most by ear". as did i.
