@MrBananas333 You really need to look into it more. It's very easy to attack the "sweatshops" from your high horse in a country that can afford to condemn them. The fact is that they benefit the people working in them (who earn more in a foreign factory than a domestic one) and the people (i.e YOU - if it's not GAP you're buying it somewhere else) in Western countries who get cheaper products. If we stopped buying from these companies it would do more harm than good.

How can Western countries preach democratic practices and condemn countries for exploitation if they themselves collude in child labour, forced overtime, poverty wages, unsafe conditions, harassment of women workers and intimidation of trade unionists, which are all commonplace in sweatshops. Western companies utilising foreign labour need to have corporate social responsibility - every worker in every country has the right to a living wage and safe working conditions.

This commercial is dated 2008. Janelle was still trying to make it onto the scene, and it's a crowded one. This commercial meant exposure and paying bills. Hang out with a few artists, You'll see the reality of it all. Despite this commercial (which I love), she never lost touch with who she is and the art she wants to put out there. That is the sign of a true artist. Looking forward to her long career.
