  • I remember this, I took it very serious 20 years ago, I'm laughing my ass off now

  • are those deer in the barn?

  • Hardcore!

  • this is brilliant stuff

  • Clarence got his solo in!

  • Is that, by any chance, a reference to that SNL Eddie Murphy sketch?

  • This is epic!! Gotta love Chris Cerf. When I first saw this, I only remembered the chorus. Glad to see this again.

Bruce Stringbean almost sounds like Little Chrissy! :-D

  • This reminds me more of Seeds than Born in the USA.

  • Springsteen looks like an arsonist ready to torch the barn........in the U.S.A.

  • @Stein986 lolz, and he must've burned it...in America

  • Some of us baaaaaa and some of us pray.............to the devil.

  • got to love how its about conformity

  • i remember when i first saw this. it was in 2001. my grandmother, who is supremely religious, told me to change the channel because it was rock music and rock is satanic.

now i am 17 years old, watching this and all i can say is fuck you grammie, this stuff is awesome.

  • this got creepy

  • that goat/sheep thing was freakin me out

  • Wow. The minor key makes this sound really forboding and dark.

  • Which makes it so cool. ;-)

  • This is a parody of Bruce Springsteen's song: "Born In The U.S.A."

  • lol yeah, by Bruce Stringbean and the S Street Band

  • good observation there buddy :)

  • Cute! Excellent video!

  • Is it just me or does this song sound really dark?

  • It's not just you... I can feel it too.

  • "Born in the U.S.A." sounds happy

but "Barn in the U.S.A. sounds dark and scary.

  • @kananase considering the lyric content of both, it's downright ironic

  • the minor key makes it disturbing

  • lol. "barn" in the usa

  • God i love chris cerf's songs

  • Pro agriculture... Farm Aid!

In the barn in the USA!!

  • I looked at wikipedia and it stood that they`re called Bruce Stringbean and the s street band

  • lol

  • yeah they're a parody of Springsteen and the E Street Band

  • O realy?

  • Sesame Street is turning 40 years.

  • The chorus of this actually sounds darker than the original Born In The USA. It is in a minor key instead of major, kind of dark and spooky for muppets lol.

  • yeah i noticed that too

  • Yeah, I noticed that too.

  • yeah i noticed that too

  • yeah i noticed that too

  • Is that buster or fred

  • OMG!!! I've been looking for this one for years!!!

  • how hot is the puppet springsteen

  • LOL the chicken playing the sax

  • i want that "bruce" muppet... he looks so cool

  • HAHA!! OMG!! I remember this one too XD!!!

IN A!! BARN!! XDDDDDDD OMG!! Bruce needs to see this XD!

  • i wonder what Bruce Springsteen would have said if he ever saw this?

  • Why is this song so minor?

  • I wonder if they changed the tune to get around paying royalties to Bruce Springsteen.

  • I thought you were allowed to use someone else's work for parodies or satirical purposes without worrying about all that though... At least that's the law in some places.

  • I miss this song and it's one of my favorites Christopher Cerf is my favorite singer!

  • That's a very good song and the chicken plays a great sax.

  • lol you guys watch sesame street aften?

    dude old school street ruled

    bruce springstein rules

  • LOL at the chicken playing the saxaphone.

  • I've been looking for this song for SO LONG. THANK YOU THANK YOU for posting it!

  • LOL at the chicken playing the saxaphone classic parody of Bruce Springstiens Born in the USA.

  • Which animals does Jim Martin perform?

  • I so remember this. This is from the 1990's I think. The Chicken is a really good sax player. I wish I owned this barn so me and these cute animals can sing and dance together. You know the chicken who plays the sax is she voiced by Louise Gould? I would love this song on my mobile phone and my I pod and CD and DVD. That would be so cool. Has anyone got any clips from Elmo in grouchland and cinderelmo? Also has anyone got this song in aribic? I wonder what Sesame Street is called in aribic?

  • That mouse looks kinda like Tutter

  • I can't tell whether or not Martin is also the donkey. Anyone know? Also, I think Pam is the cat and Fran is the duck.

  • Either the donkey is voiced by Martin or Jerry Nelson; it's hard to tell myself. Also, I disagree with Fran being the duck because I think she is the mouse with the duck being Kathryn Mullen. And from your previous comment above, which ones does Jim Martin perform?

  • I'm not certain. I got this information from Muppet Wiki. And I do in fact here a bit of Kathryn Mullen's voice in the duck, but Fran's as well. Like I said, I'm not sure about anything with this song. I can tell you one thing, though: the donkey is definitely not Jerry Nelson. I don't think he's in this one at all.

  • Incidentally, more about this song has been added to Muppet Wiki, including more performers, and Kathryn still isn't among them. I'm still leaning towards the duck being Fran.

  • YES! I always enjoyed watching this skit involving Bruce Stringbean and I couldn't get enough of this when I was younger...

  • Sesame Street Bruce Stringbean Christopher Cerf Buster Horse A Donkey Martin P.Robinson A Dog Kevin Clash Chicken Joseph Mazzarino A Cow Lousie Gold Animals Fran Brill Pam Arciero Steve Whitmire Jim Martin 1990s

  • that chicken is one heckuva sax player!

  • Yay! Another great video sawing14s. You are the greatest again.

  • Is the horse Buster or Fred? I noticed Merryl Sheep is there!

  • Looks more like Buster to me, plus he's performed here by Martin Robinson.

  • I might as well called this song "Barn in the U-N-K, IN A BARN IN THE U-S-A" LOL

  • I love this

  • another parody in the '90 was 2 live crew's "Banned in the USA"

  • I wondered if this would of ever turn up. I only saw it once when I was young. Performers here are Jim Martin, Martin P. Robinson, Louise Gold, Pam Arciero, and Fran Brill.

  • I think Noel McNeal is the turkey

  • And Kevin Clash is the dog and Joey Mazzarino is the chicken.

  • Right. I meant to say performers included...

  • I heard this all time on that SS Radio on the SS website.

  • Just curious, what year is this clip from? Nice parody btw

  • According to Muppet wiki, its from 1991
