I used to have the bob look, so is that why it curves under so much? Also, then ends of my hair, like in the back, but mostly on my side, they curve outward no matter how many times i straitghten it. Well... You kind of have to play with your hair. Trial and error. That's how you know what works best. In the front where your hair curls in more than mine like you said. Try not to curl in at the end, just pull straight down when you straighten your hair. I'm sure that'll make it curve in less.

In the back, I honestly do not know what will help it not flare outward... I'm guessing your hair is at that awkward length (right above your shoulders) if so, you'll just have to wait it out until it grows past your shoulders. I had that same problem so I know what you're talking about.
@ldreyees Hey! Well like qtasian99 said to me, it's at that awkward length. You can consider growing it out, like I am(I have short layers on top and then im letting the bottoms grow out) but for that time that it's at this length, try first straightening layers like she did in the video, but only go over it once or twice, to not damage hair. Then when you get to the final layer, try curving the ends upward, the using lots of hairspray.
@ldreyees It might curve under after a long period of time, because it does that all the time in school when im looking down and up to the board and it's like resting on my shoulder lol, but curving it outward might help. @eneups7 heey, i used to have the same problem, i have learnt that if you go really slowly at the ends it will straighten more and doesn't curl under, but i am growing my hair now, but be careful that you don't flick it out :) hope it works for you
If you want a professional flat iron and you are ok with spending around $140 I would highly recommend the Karmin G3 Salon Pro, it heats up to 450f with temperature control, dual voltage, tourmaline ceramic plates with rounded edges which makes it great for also curling your hair. Also has a 3 year warranty. If you do look at other irons make sure to stay away from irons with painted plates (colored plates) these can damage your hair.
