Here is a quote from the Embry Riddle website. "Flaps are located on the aft or "trailing edge" of the wing and increase both lift and drag. Because of the increased drag, flaps are only partially extended on takeoff, and fully extended on landing. The added drag created by full flaps on landing allows the aircraft to approach at a steep angle without excessive air speed."
are u fucking me? dude dont come up here and say crap you dont know. flaps create speed? lol i'm sorry u needa get ur facts straight. what do you mean by creating speed? Cuz i can put the flaps down and create a slower speed. But i doubt thats what u meant. Flaps create MORE DRAG and LIFT - hence planes land at a slow airspeed making landing MUCH easier.
& to add to this guys comment flaps are only used partially on takeoff because it alows a lower liftoff speed, which means less runway but doesn't create too much drag so the aeroplane cant accelerate or climb well. If u take off with full flap on b747 they wll be ripped off once you reach about 160-180 KIAS
Possibly... A "go around" is intiated by either Air Traffic Control or the pilot, telling the pilot it is not safe to land. If the aircraft has already hit the ground a similar movemnt as the video will be performed. (if the aircraft is in the air and above minimiums it will just open throttle) A "touch and go" is used for practising landings and take off, and tends to be used with an inteiand to do so, whislt go arounds are a spur of the moment thing.
why pilots do touch and go ?what is point of this

you should mark your videos with somekind of FS tag, so people searching for the real deal dont have to waste their time with your silly little games

the purpose of touch and go is usually for training purposes.
Patrick1237 3 years ago
wtf sense is in touch and go? the passengers can't even get out from the plane lol :D
Toilu 3 years ago
cant take off with full flaps yo.
yazzam 3 years ago
Depends on how much fuel and passengers is onboard :P
freddy813 3 years ago
no it has to do with drag. a 747 or any aircraft will have horrible takeoff performance with full flaps no matter how much weight u have on board.
yazzam 3 years ago
True but it will probably still be able to lift off with full flap setting

when you are doing a go around right when you touch down retract to flaps to 20 or less.

can someone tell me why touch and goes are done?
sidhanthmelvani 3 years ago
I'm pretty sure it's mainly done for practicing landing or for testing the landing surface.
music4dude 3 years ago
The first suggestion is correct :)

dop they touch and go in real life in a 747???????
AmericanEagleAirline 4 years ago
Yes if they perform a go-around :)
freddy813 4 years ago
Why do planes touch and go?
Battleaxe55555 4 years ago
So you can save time if you want to practice landings for example...
freddy813 4 years ago
would passengers be onboard whilst doing this?
