If people are poor, many will commit crimes, and under the stress they have to live with, some will get violent. Some are able to avoid it but it's just very hard. Unfortunately the countries you mention except for Russia might (and I say might) have a higher crime rate but the US are ranked 1 in murder. Russia doesn't have that much of a crime rate. It's not about awareness, it's about a fucked up economic system that give most of the resources to a small number of people. If people are poor, many will commit crimes, and under the stress they have to live with, some will get violent. Some are able to avoid it but it's just very hard. Yes more jobs, more community centers, more equality. My hope is that poor people realize that it through collectively fighting for rights that will help them not fighting amongst each other.

Also dont expect money to fix the problem (educating the youth) The youth know right and wrong, its just that they eventually give up on right because its not a quick fix and is too difficult.
