Ahh the frustration of that game has all flooded back now..... Especially the later levels where there were many bridges to go under - if you didn't go under at the right angle you could be trapped in there for all eternity.
Really it should have been called Drift King Sim rather than Grand Prix Sim as to this day I have never seen an F1 car take a corner like they do in this game.
A fantastic racing game from the budget software company "Codemasters". If I remember this game cost a mere £1.99 and blows away games that cost £10.00.
this game really plays well, good gameplay never ages!

Back in the day when everything on small British home computers was a "simulator".

I used to detest these codemaster simulations. Bmx simulator was the worse ever.

Great memories. Codemasters brought out a 'simulator' of EVERYTHING, back then:
BMX Simulator.
Ski Simulator.
Fruit Machine simulator #LOL

Haha this takes me back, I had a 464 with green screen and a tape drive!

This was a classic, it was always worth the long loading times.
Although my CPC464 was a shitty budget version (ie no colours), I still remember it fondly.
damo447 4 years ago
This is the 464 version and the same budget version I had on my 464. I had all the colours. You must have gotten a faulty game.
genesisduke72 4 years ago
Sorry by budget I meant the monochrome version.
This has given me a taste of nostalgia. I'll go fish out an emulator and some ROMS, as my old 464 died a long time ago :'(
damo447 4 years ago
maybe you had a green screen monitor? or you were using a black and white tv. OR you were using a spectrum? lol
i dont think there is a non colour version of this on the cpc

@damo447 did you ever find an emulator for grand prix simulator?
