She was actually discovered in a drug store called the "Top Hat" across the street from Hollywood High which she attended with Joseph Wapner from the Peoples Court! She was playiong hooky (ditching) class and was spotted by a Warner Brothers producer!Thanks for the slide show! Wonderful. She was easily the most beautiful of them all!

My mother had seven children - there were 4 daughters and all were named after movie stars. I was named after Lana Turner. Wow, what an honor! I love my name! She loved sweaters and men - the two things we have in common. I'm older now - calmer now - and my grandson tells me I'm just as beautiful as she was, but I know he's partial. lol She was an amazing woman - so gorgeous - so talented. I raised my daughter watching the old movies - her's included. She is missed.
