I was actually wondering about how the hydrogen would be affected running in a turbo charged system. Even though hydrogen is 130 octane, I was curious if a turbocharger would cause pre-detonation. Good to see thanks
how in the hell are you all only getting 20mpg out of a sr20det?? Ive owned 14 240sx's all with sr20det I average 24-27 in city and 30+ Highway... its called learn how to keep car out of boost. Dont hate on people when you have no Idea what you are even talking about. But hey it is youtube right? Feel more like a e-thug now?
@SICKJ0KER First off, it obviously does work.. and I seriously doubt you get 45 mph highway in your Nissan. I think you have made some errors in your calcs..
@ndalle0303 I can go 45 miles per hour on a bike (sorry for being prick. You used wrong Abreviation).....not really that big of a feat. I do wonder what this does to the longevity of the engine life. Because with hydrogen there has to be increased rusting. And the Sr20det is not known for being the most durable as far as wear and tear goes. If true this is definately incredible none the less. I am very skepticle though. Very.
@SICKJ0KER First off, it obviously does work.. and I seriously doubt you get 45 mph highway in your Nissan. I think you have made some errors in your calcs..
Even if it wasn't a scam, it seems as the technology wouldn't cope well with many situations. Such as all of the added systems where more and more risk of failure throughout the system can occur. Or how it would work with turbochargers, superchargers, etc.
Because there are non, i fell for this hoax like other thousands, after two weeks of reaserch and having installed a 3ltr per min hho reactor i have no improvement in mileage or performance.
Im only thkfull because i didnt buy any instruction from fraudulent sites...
Now,i have learned over 15 reasons why it will not work. I will only mention 2 for lack of space.
these systems use electricity from the altinator to produce hydrogen which goes into the engine to help run the car but since it's impossible to get more energy out then you put in the whole system runs on the gas in the gas tank & probably ruins gas mileage. Not to mention that most people use tap water & salt which is bad for the engine, the environment, & the people around the car since they put out a very poisonous sodium chloride gas.
they're not using salt mixed water so its not producing sodium chloride gas. some systems can be routed to the battery instead of the alternator. but yes I do understand that some people are stupid enough to use salt which the shouldn't, just a thought to remember some people also routed a solar panel to the generator some how.
@Trukillaog If I remember correctly from high school and college chemistry classes, there is no such thing as sodium chloride gas. There is chlorine gas of course.
this is possible. Around the 1970's people all over were building these things. these chambers evaporated the fuel instead of just spraying the fuel. but somehow it got sold off and forgotten. my father explains that the Petrol companies did not like this idea because they would loose money.
Funny how most of the skeptics have never built or tested any devices for themselves. They like to believe whatever the corrupt media tells them instead. Even if you don't get any mileage increases your engine burns cleaner and has more power. Reasons enough to install them on all cars.
seriously this is a bullshit scam, dateline did a test with it and it didn't do a damn thing for gas mileage so don't if you buy this you are better off busting a nutt in your gas tank for mileage LOL!!!!!
Dateline also FAILED at making a properly working cell. They screwed up the same way MythBusters did. No proper electrolyte. AND Dateline also used a car with O2 sensors which richened the fuel/air ratio. Had either Dateline or Mythbusters done ANY research they would have gotten good results.
My results, Datsun 280Z EFI; 20 mpg without cell, 26 with. Go built a cell before you talk out your ass.
this is a scam the videos stupid and gay... i can sell a similar product saying if i piss in your gas tank it will increase gas mileage by 125% will get 150% more if i can give you a hot carl.
Your fuel figures are a bit sus. I have a friend with a Pulsar GtiR. He gets 7L/100km highway [110km/h+] This is a 4wd, without hydrogen doing better than you do with a more efficient design. I would suggest you need to tune your engine. You should be pulling about 60mpg with HHO in that setup.
just remember the pulsar is small less drag on the engine so it should be more efficient and his car is bigger which means more drag loss of mpg. BUT it is true he would be making more mpg if he tuned his car more. honestly though HHO is a step to beating the Big Oil Companies. I'm already starting to build one for my sr20 as well
Actually I would have thought that the Aerodynamic shape of the 240sx coupled with a more efficient drivetrain would mean there was less drag losses on the motor.
I agree but you don't know if he has a better drive train maybe its still stock, but yes if it was coupled then it would be less drag but still remember the weight of both cars. He says that the HHO generator does increase boost because it burns faster and its must quicker
curious where do you plumb this into the motor? before the maf sensor? I was jsut curious as to if this could potentially be ignited if it flows thru the turbo before the throttle body, or if you plumb it directly into the manifold?
Nice i am In Fountain Inn and have a buddy in Mauldin and we are building smacks booster as we speak, and are gonna install them on diesels, and then on a Ford F150.. nice video.
I was going to build a swift or geo mega miler project car myself! lol Go for it! I instead decided to work on a small engine application at this time... mega mileage scooter anyone? haha
The reason no one sells a hole bolt on kit to make your own HHO gas is that big oil will kill you. Simple as that, big oil would rather take you out of the picture to make the big money.
Case in point.. Ebay has recently banned sellers from selling air fuel ratio devices for hydrogen use. A/F ratio devices for racing are not banned. lol
It is physically impossible to gain more than 1-2mpg w/out leaning out the stock ECU fuel maps just by adding HHO. You can call it whatever you want but your ECU is tuned to perform at 14.7:1 AFR and it will adjust the injector pulse widths until it matches that, which means it has to add more fuel when you put HHO into the combustion chamber. Just buying one of these HHO generators will not improve milage on an EFI car...PERIOD!! Quit scamming people and tell the WHOLE truth.
The whole truth is told friend. No computer control devices have been used in this car. None... Nada... Zero... Zip... Got it? lol
No scams folks I drive this car everyday and consistently see these results.
Keep in mind that this is a turbo gasoline application. HHO and turbo gasoline engines are fairly undocumented territory. The results surprised even me at first.
Once again... ONE EcoCell 2 hydrogen generator increased the highway mileage of this application by 13mpg.
Th only way this is possible is that you are in open loop and somehow running leaner than stoich. What year is the 240? Just curious about what wiring harness you have and how the SR20 was setup to run. Did you use the jspec ECU as well? Something isn't commicating correctly if its getting 41mpg. Not that its a bad thing!! Take it while you got it!
Stock SR harness. What you must understand is that the mileage of this car has been consistent since it was swapped. There is no mis-communication anywhere... in fact it IS running a bit rich. I COULD get more mileage out of it by leaning it out...
No my friend... you will increase power. Hydrogen makes your combustion more efficient which actually gives you more power. I now offer a video class to show you step by step how to build all of this stuff. It is on my website. My link is in the video description. Just click it :-)
Your lack of personal experience makes your opinions invalid.
Maybe you missed the fact that these are real world examples. I do not have to "think" it will work... lol. It DOES every day. I'm a long time nissan fan and no offense buddy... but comparing your puny eco box sentra to the world class silvia/180sx family is a joke at best.
Experiment for yourself... you may be leaving 50-60MPG on the table. Your loss not mine. I know a local civic getting 82MPG!
This is NOT a stock 240sx with a naturally aspirate 155 hp ka24de engine. It is a turbo charged 230hp sr20det engine from the nissan silvia in japan. Seach "sr20det" and educate yourself smart guy.

Haha I believe in that 410 miles I get out of 10 gallons of gas compared to the 280 I used to get out of the same amount of fuel.
Keep paying out the nose for gas lol.. I don't really care cupcake.
You mis-understand. I did not say the EPA rating I say the ACTUAL mileage prior to hydrogen was about 24/28... ACTUAL real world mileage. Please read more carefully and you will see that is actually about a 45% increase in highway mileage. I am not driving 55... I am driving with the flow of traffic.
Granted driving techniques can also aid in mileage gains... as can additives... as can fuel heaters... all of these things combine to an even greater effect.
I have tested many thousands of miles in numerous different vehicles configurations. I know it works... your belief or non belief won't change that fact. I see the proof at the pump. haha
Now go search for other sr20det owners in the USA getting over 40 mpg at highway speeds. ;-)
They have a hard time believing the mileage gains too.
Every vehicle responds differently to the hydrogen. The results have pleasantly surprising so far in this turbo application. I think some of the massive cells over do it. Great results can be achieved without huge hydroxy output.
Hi, I believe hho gets you better mpg, but one little jar making less than 1 Lpm is hard to believe is adding 13 more mpg to a car that already is efficent enough to get high 20's mpg. If you had 2 or three jars like I have seen on youtube, then It would be more believeable. There are people pushing 3.5 Lpm that are only getting 6-7 mpg gains on the same size motor. Where are you located ? I would love to test it with you !! If you get that kind of increase, I will sell 1000's for you !!
Bullshit....where's the PROOF?

1) 4cil 2ltr engine uses 2,000 ltrs of air per minuteat 2000rpm
2ltrs x 2000rpms / 2 = 2000ltrs of air per min
3 or 6 ltrs per min of hho wont do s...
2) hho alone inside an engine contracts (implodes) into h2o (water) doesnt explode like gas therefore 4 stroke engines will not work on hho alone
