@Graiskye Thanks for posting about it. I just searched and found one called "Hyper Infinity". Found some dissected pictures, looks very similar to this design, or at least how I would have adjusted things if I was going to refine it. Mine doesn't detect spin direction and theirs does. The mechanism is very similar to what I was thinking. Props to them for making an actual product out of it, now people can stop asking me to do it.

Can you message me or post in the description where to find the necessary parts to do this? I'm really interested, but mainly I wouldn't know where to get one of those motors. (don't own any RC helicopters.)

@AlisRIOSteff I believe there are sites that sell motors by themselves for use in RC helicopters, but it would probably be cheaper just to find a cheap helicopter to tear apart. I've seen them go for as little as $10 on clearance. I don't really have any specs on what might be required; I just threw it together with whatever I could find.
