  • cool.

  • or should i of said speak tawain

  • i wish i understood tawain nice frames

  • I'll say that you guys really need a war to separate to each other. Of course, many people will die. But I guess you guys don't care. Because YOU LIVE OVERSEAS. DON'T CARE ABOUT IF TAIWAN DECLARES INDEPENDENT. CHINA WILL START A WAR. AGAIN, YOU DON'T CARE. BECAUSE U DON'T LIVE IN TAIWAN. SELFISH.

  • @dascheung1 wow..... chilllllllllll!! I care, regardless of the fact that I live overseas... let's not jump to conclusions alright?

  • lol you could speak English though.

  • Haha!

    Humorous, I like it!

  • @lordrichtu you aren't free as long as another is threatening to strike, Taiwan is in a freedom predicament, not full freedom. Despite a few tensions, the U.S. is ready to fight off anyone who outwardly threatens its freedom. The Anti-secession law clearly expresses China's threat of "non-peaceful means" towards Taiwan's independence movement. Unlike the US, Taiwan still proves to be stagnant in the matter. In a nutshell Taiwan needs to prove itself to be recognized as a TRULY independent nation

  • LOL, enjoyed your video. Your english is quite good for an ABC, I don't think I would've been able to carry out a conversation like this 6 years ago when I returned to Taiwan. Live here for maybe half a year or so and I'm sure you'll improve tremendously, keep up the good work! jia you~

  • @twinkieCee it means Taiwan will be too scared to fight back :) if you want, start a revolution and prove me wrong >:D

  • @Spikewarrio Iraq and Afghanistan are nations, yet they have occupying foreign troops, why should we start a war when there is peace? Why "revolt" if there are no occupying powers or governing bodies interfering with our way of life? Can you answer that?AMERICAN.

  • @Spikewarrio

There's an old joke among American political observers that:

"Advocates of Taiwan independence are willing to fight to the last American GI."

There is no country in the world called "Taiwan."

I know. I live on Taiwan. Taiwan is a province of the Republic of China, just as Prince Edward Island is a province of Canada.

Taiwanese are Chinese, just as Prince Edward Islanders are Canadians.

  • @taiwanNotchina1 USA is not a part of Britain you idiot, we came from them but we fought for our freedom AND OBTAINED IT. Taiwan has NOT gained their freedom yet therefore, under the KMT administration and the PRC gov. AND the Anti-Secession law of 2005, TAIWAN IS NOT FREE YET. Now I'm not saying I hate Taiwanese people, I am just clearing the the lie"Taiwan is a country," because its not.

  • @Spikewarrio I live in Taiwan, it's a country that MOST of the international community doesn't recognize CURRENTLY. Why do we need to gain our freedom? We're as free as anybody in that we have a functioning government and armed forces that fought alongside the allies in the second world war long before the PRC took over China. KMT administration is a thing of the past, rule of law, the constitution of the ROC and democracy reign supreme on this island NATION, come visit if you don't believe me.

  • hm....

  • @Spikewarrio Um... last I checked the Anti-Secession Law is just China telling itself that Taiwan is part of the PRC... the Guomindang had no involvement in it... So how does that mean that Taiwan is part of China?

  • @twinkieCee Excuse me, but what means Republic of China !

Before Republic of Taiwan was founded. Taiwan is in legal principle a part of china and i mean china not mainland china or PRC

  • @rafikingkong Yes, Taiwan was part of China at one point! However, after China lost the First Sino-Japanese War, Taiwan was ceded to Japan in the Treaty of Shimonoseki in 1895. After Japan lost WWII, Japan left Taiwan in the hands of the Guomindang. Annnddd that was the last power transfer that happened. Taiwan was never given back to China. Guomindang was once a political party of China, but they fled the mainland after losing to the Communists who are still in power today..... sooooooo yeah :P

  • @twinkieCee Yep, almost true.By last power transfer, KMT war still legal representing China. Right after WW2, as declared in Cairo Declaration in 1943 and in Potsdam Declaration in 1945, all territories Japan had won from China, such as Manchuria, TW etc. shall be restored to the Republic of China". So, Taiwan was actually qiven back to ROC, well the "China". BTW feel sorry the Communists won the chinese civil War!

Which sports do you practice ? :D

  • @rafikingkong Firstly, the Cairo Declaration was not signed, nor were the participants even present in Cairo at the time! after potsdam Taiwan was signed over to the ROC which is now in power in Taiwan, but is not a part of China as they lost the Civil War. And yes, it is a pity that the Communists won.

I used to play soccer, and did Wing Chun for a year :)

  • @twinkieCee Soccer and Wing Chun! It's really cool of you :D

  • @twinkieCee

    No.

Japan extorted the offshore island of Taiwan from China in 1895. Japan was forced to return Taiwan to China in 1945.

In 1949, civil war between the KMT and CCP led to an INTERNAL schism within China that has lasted six decades.

But this has ZERO bearing on the status of Taiwan. Taiwan is still part of China.

Which political party rules China is a separate issue from whether Taiwan is part of China.

  • @twinkieCee btw, you are hot ^_^

  • @Spikewarrio USA is not a country it is part of British LOLOLOLOL,

    wake up !!!!

we are not part of you, you gave taiwan away more then 100 years ago, don't talk like Indian giver,

  • omg i got the same problem in china when getting clothes. its like... M in aussie is like S in china. *facepalm*

OMG YOU HAVE SHOW LUO POSTER :D

  • It seems you've attracted a lot of "mainland comments"! (i.e. stupid comments.)

Anyway, I wanted to see what other ABCs or CBCs thought about Taiwan. Yeah... so you mostly talked about superficial things. What about more subtle things? Like... being accepted as a part of the nation? Or, social relationships?

And also, what MRT did you take?! People in Taipei love pushing...

  • @shawnchong hahaha

yeah just having fun with this vid. Uhh... well I can't say I really feel like part of the nation? It's my own problem really... like I feel like my language abilities are highly inferior, I can't speak all that smoothly really. And I think that people see me as a foreigner for sure :/

not so sure about social relationships really, not sure what you mean by that, and I don't think I've lived long enough in Taiwan to know.. I only ever go to visit relatives!

  • omg 我也是一樣! except with hong kong/canto!! ahhh

  • And MRT in Hong Kong it is not true at all. Peoples more respectful in hong kong that in taiwan. But more peoples live there. Anyway. YOu are a big loser. You look like an old women sick mind

  • @coco9004 hahahahahha omg woww..... chillax dude ... you do know that this video is a joke right?

happy new year! don't start the new year with all this hate ya? <3

  • that is why they park motobyke everywhere and cars on sidewalks. And they are LIAR, HYPPOCRYTE and IDIOT and NO BRAIN.

  • I lived a year in Taiwan and I can tell you you are not better than Chinese or Hong Kong Peoples or white peoples. In fact it is the worse place I ever lived and visited in my whole life. The only place I can say look nice is Sun Moon Lake... Do you think I will take airplane only go see a lake big like my swimming pool? no.... Cannot breath air in your stupid city becasue too much motobyke and pollution. I was sick all the time. And also peoples look at me very mean, act very mean, SELF FISH.

  • @coco9004 Where the hell are you from?

  • real nuts

  • If you want to have small ass and stop to complaint you are fat. You should walk instead to drive your stupid motobyke everywhere even inside the restaurant, the bank and the house...

  • 你聽聽這首歌 /watch?v=UqStT82nt9g

  • Girls in Asia are skinnier in general. I'm super jealous sometimes UGHHH

  • @urasiansourceCpop2 It's diet and genetics.

  • Twinkie! been awhile, and to answer your question in the video, I am sure it is the tea. No matter which tea asians use, it always helps in maintaining the body. :0

  • Haha I wish I'm not that skinny. (Maybe that's why I'm skinny?)

  • you're not buff. you look slim and graceful.

  • @californiaengineer well by buff I just meant slightly more muscular. I'm no Arnie Schwarzenegger, that's fer sure xD

  • @twinkieCee you're not buff, nor muscular. And I **still think** you are a graceful, slim, and insightful person. You can disguise and pass yourself off as a well educated and wealthy Taiwanese person. I couldn't do it.

  • @californiaengineer Bahaha I'd love to try that xD

  • @twinkieCee I'm just saying you know. you could have fooled me. I couldn't do it. I'm Chinese (ABC) and I couldn't fool them. One look at me and they knew who I am and where I came from. :(

  • @twinkieCee You're so cute and funny!!

  • Comment removed

  • So... Do they find it cool that you speak English? Just slip that into conversation somehow and be like "yeah, that's right. I rock ^_^" Insta- confident boost. Haha

  • @Bippledot Actually a lot of people find ABCs that add English into their speech very annoying :P Something about how some ABCs feel superior? :/ ehhh plus the people I speak most to (my relatives) don't understand English anyways soo... ^^

  • @twinkieCee Oh jeeze, I am such a frickin' white girl I didn't understand the acronym at first. >_<; I thought you meant the english alphabet... durrrrr.

  • I'm the same as you..... Don't worry

  • nobody can see ur body... i dont think it would be that bad... top part seems quite good :P

  • is chinese your first language?

  • @Seantorky3 noooope :P

  • @twinkieCee i am learning mandarin at the moment, i was suprised i could understand so many words lol, forigners are easyer to understand lol

  • @Seantorky3 Haha yay for you! I need to work on expanding my vocab xD

  • Aww. Poor tedy! :D

Your candid views about the world are always charmingly funny. Haha, I've been there where you think you're comfortable with a foreign language and then shrink to a pea when you try and "test" your skills out with the natives... Boy is that tough.

  • @AonGuardian Rilakkuma~♥

haha thank you! Good to know I'm not boring you xD Oh boy it is... *memories of trying to participate in French class flood in*

  • A joy to watch as always :D

You know, the contrast in figures is only equal to the contrast in eating habits.

A standard western meal is that much larger AND richer than most of Asia's equivalent. America is commonly said to be going through an obesity epidemic so as an ABC you got that against you, don't take it too personally.

I love hearing about awesome countries and your report on Taiwan made my day!

Still, your self-esteem need not suffer, you got all kinds of awesome going :)

    Keep it up

  • @kobidreamer Thank you~~ I'd agree with you, only I do eat an Asian diet at home, plus I live in Asia at the moment... it must be my metabolism xD

I love reading your comments as always :D

  • I missed you :D

  • @coolsteven2 missed you guys too!! ^^

  • That was fabulous and funny!

  • @twinkieCee Watching it with captions certainly made more sense :D I might add, absolutely hilarious video! Gonna feature it on my channel for a while I think, until I make another video.

Also, have you lost weight? You seem skinnier than your older videos...

  • @TokyoZeplin Thank you!!! You haven't made a new video in a long time :(

No...in fact I have gained weight haha xD

  • Also... no captions :( though I think I get some of it anyway!

Thought I would throw in, that while Japanese women are in general way skinny, it is also because they basically diet their entire lives. Heck, I met one that literally said "Being a woman in Japan, means being on a life-long diet".

Now, I wait for ze captions!

  • TWINKIEEEEEEEEE!

  • It's not just Taiwan, it seems the whole of Asia is filled with skinny people in their goddamn skinny jeans.... The sight of it enrages me!

And it's natural that you "got mad" at seeing skinny people all over Taiwan cuz their taste is more leaned to Japan. Not sure if you've heard the word "病态美" which I totally dislike. I prefer people to workout and get fit, even that enlarge their physique a bit, yet it's healthy, natural and beautiful! This is the common taste of the rest of world IMO.

Yeah...and I'm just jealous of other people's good genes and high metabolisms :P '病态美‘ 確是沒聽過呢!I couldn't agree with you more :)
