Gill eats well timed Denjin Hadoken's all day. if you time it right and play well, you can get a dizzy, then follow up by jumping in deep roundhouse, standing Fierce, Jab Shoryuken. That combo HURTS him.
Get close enough and Tatsu Maki sempuu kyaku (Hurricane kick) through his resurrection, then put him away.

Why in all heck did you choose Shinkuu Hadouken? Other than preference, if you chose Denjin Hadouken, you would have won much more easily with the damage potential. I think 2 Denjin Hadoukens are anyone's worst nightmare.
Simple. If I remember correctly the Denjin Hadouken super needs to be charged in order to get the same full 5 hits of the regular shinkuu hadouken. Without its few seconds charge you only get a couple of hits. I know it also temporarily paralyzes the opponent but with a guy like Gill I'd rather take a super that does more damage that is quick upon release and delivers a direct hit. Thanks for your analysis though. It's great when people know what they're talking about & you clearly do.
Are you being sarcastic~? I wouldn't say that unless I really thought it would be useful. After seeing Denjin Hadouken's damage potential, I really think it could be useful against anyone.
Here's why: You can knock someone down, do a Denjin Hadouken, make them dizzy, knock them down again, do another Denjin Hadouken, do another combo on them and that would take like over 60% over their heatlh already.

It's just that in Third Strike, you don't have the privilege of having 2 Denjin Hadoukens anymore. After seeing the potential damage and abuse that it could do, I think the creators decided that Ryu only needed one to make it fair.
Imagine if Ryu had 2 Denjin Hadouken charges and Yun had 2 Genei-Jin charges in Third Strike. Wouldn't that just be broken?

Correction. The charge time is determined by how long the punch button is held. So a short charge would entail an immediate release of the punch button. That's what I recall.

If I'm not mistaken (not a Ryu player), you can shorten the Denjin charge time by rotating the stick while charging.
