Another great layout and sketch! Thanks for the tip on using the Tiny Attacher for the rosettes. I tried making them once but frustrated with it. Maybe stapling them together might help and make it easier. TFS! :)
@christelblue You can use the tiny attacher or even a small piece of red tape. I find that goes a little easier than waiting on liquid glue, but that is also a good option.
So cool! Must admit, I am happy to live up north cuz creepy lizard killers scare the crap out of me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So I'd never have photos like these to scrap!!! But of course, awesome layout!!!!
@samwri1984 I don't mind at all ~ have fun! I think the blue rosette was my favorite. It's fun to play around with different patterns to see what kind of looks you get with the flowers.
Great layout, Kathryn. The rosette technique is better than using a die--mine rip at the score lines. I will have to try the tiny attacher. Glad to see you still scrapbook in the 12 x12 form. Dale
Great LO! Thanks for the tips on how to do the rosettes. I never fuss with them much because they always seem like too much work. I'm going to have to try it now though with your help. I love watching you do LO videos!
I have been loving your 12x12 layouts. I've watched them all without commenting because I watch from my tablet & can't comment. You sure have fun with your family & get great photo's! JIL
@stampyra Thanks, Jil! We do have fun and we love taking photos. I watch a lots of vids on my iPhone, so I know what you mean about not being able to comment.
Just beautiful...all of the little details add so much to the over all look! Your rosettes are so pretty, I love your choice in paper for them, just beautiful :). Tfs, Cheryl
great layout!! absolutely beautiful. I really need to start making layouts like yours with the solid paper in the back and the pattern paper as accents. They are sooo nice. Your idea of using an embossing pen for the scoring is awesome. i hate when i score and i tear my paper :(
@bneefreak I love the way the embossing stylus works ~ I'll never go back to a bone folder. It never tears, which is awesome & you can change the thickness of the score line from project to project by using different size stylus tips. It's great!
@queenbee063 I do not think that hot glue is acid-free. For mini albums, I do not worry about acid-free vs. acidic. They get handled so much and are exposed to acid, dust, UV rays, etc., on a regular basis, so they are not archival safe to start with. With mini layouts, I almost never use hot glue & I try to be sparing when I do. Even so, I never use original photos in my layouts, so if something happens down the road, there are back-ups.
@nanajl54 They are yummy! Last time my sister visited, I took her for frog legs and alligator. Not sure she's their biggest fan, but it was fun for her to try something different. :D
Love the way your rosettes look. Great page. TFS.
