He actually didn't, that has been disproven. There IS one site I found which has some stuff added and the word magic' changed to 'shadows', but the poem is not present in any of the published Poe compendiums in exiestence. More likely, some pervy child molestor liked the idea and expanded on it, changing the word 'magic' to 'shadows' to suit his dark personality.

If I had all the money in the world, I would get a hold of Sarah Jessica Parker (assuming it was really her voice in the movie) and John Debney and James Horner and have them compose a full extended version of this song properly with full lyrics. This song was so hauntingly beautiful in the movie and it deserves to be a full completed song instead of just a short small portion that was composed for the movie. Lets start an internet campaign to put that together.. whos with me..???
