If this does not refresh your soul; NOTHING will. Awesome tune and guitar playing and fantab lyrics and voices. What a treat on a Saturday afternoon. Thanks Angel BEing for the gift of this shared Gem. <3<3<3 U alllll Namaste'
one of the 2-3 finest live album of all times, underrated as another great live like 'love you live' by the Stones; Eric (and others) said that to play in japan is fantastic cause people there knows all the songs, sing all the songs, clap their hands for all the time, and there is no trouble or riot. think about 'made in japan' by Deep Purple or 'live at budokan' by Dylan. japanise are good guys, such a pity for that eartquake, they dont deserve it.
This album ‘Just One Night’ is maybe the most underrated in EC's portfolio... what a tight band! He and Albert Lee working so well together; great synergy between them on guitar.
It is an exhibition in masterpiece speed pickin'! This here number is... maybe the best version of this song, ‘After Midnight’… and ‘Blues Power’ is as well, in my humble opinion.
The album, one side Electric Blues, the other a mix of Country/Rock n Roll at its very finest, is my favorite live album!
I had the good fortune to bump into Albert Lee once... almost literaly, in Santa Monica California. He was such a nice friendly fellow.
I told him how much I dig this live album and he told me that it was a very positve musical experience for him. He and EC are still tight obviously, as Albert has joined Eric for the Crossroads Festival.
In my opinion, Albert Lee is one of the great ones as a guitar player. I love his work with Clapton on this album...!
I remember seeing them play and Albert lee playing a 3 pickup Les Paul custom and sounding country bepop to Clapton's aggressive and brittle clucking tone. Just great!
Played at Cafe Madrid 1 minute After Midnight on 2011 new years eve long live rock and roll/blues

@iconoclastKM:
I think it's his second best album after "from the cradle". It was the one that got my Clapton fever started when I was 9.
One of my favorite tracks there is Albert Lee's cover of "dire straights'" setting me up.
