@CHARLIEG187 She might be gravid. Also, Emperor and Red Claw are two different type of scorpion, pandinus cavimanus and pandinus imperator. Make sure that you're getting the right care information, because confusing them can lead to an unhealthy/dead scorpion.

yup its most likely pregnant my red claw looks just like that congrats on ze babies. gestation lasts 7-14 months believe it or not, some people say 9 but mine stayed gravid for 12 months so be prepared to wait.

Emperors and red claws are two different animals. This is exactly why common names are so useless. Emperor scorpion= Pandinus imperator, Red claw = Pandinus cavimanus. However, there's no such thing as an emperor red clawed scorpion (as you call it).

Also, you didn't know what the 'spreading out' of the exoskeleton is? But in another (older) video you claim that you've had a couple scorpions already yet somehow they always die... Some research might help'm stay alive :) No offence

I just bought an emperor scorpion a few days ago, I think i'm obsessed with them now, but I'm been doing alot of reading up on them, and even though it does look like it's molting the under belly is pretty round also, i'd say if it was in contact or in the same cage as a male, I would watch it, you might have some babies, it would explain the agressivness too.

@ChevyMan4625 this is possible, if they overeat they can actually become overweight, a scorpion can literally get too fat and it will stop eating for quite a while. scorpions can go several months without eating when theyre healthy, when theyre overfed, expect that period to be even longer.

Or, she could just be getting fat. A fat scorpion will look similar to a pregnant one. If she does give birth, make sure you have a constant supply of food for her to lessen the chance that she will eat her young.

I'm a veterinary science student and I was looking up some information about scorpions when I found your video. I can't see in the video too well, but does it look like white masses between the membranes? You might not see that though because the emperor has a thick membrane, but if she starts burrowing more and seems restless she may be pregnant. The gestation period is between 7 and 9 months so some owners buy them not realizing they could be pregnant.

I have a regular emperor scorpion that is getting thicker at the belly like that. I hope she is pregnant cause I really didn't feed her that often. She has been taking food readily which made me think she was trying to feed her young inside her. I really don't know. Your's lives alone, so she might have gotten pregnant from a male if you bought her from a cage with other scorpions. Mine has a male with her so I bet he knocked her up. Yours is fatter than mine so it could be either reason.

my was like that for a while but i think its cuz she is hybernating.cuz now the fatness went down and she sits in the same burrow all day.and she doesnt eat.and when i try to feed her she wont eat.and i think thats y.but idk y urs is.try putting her under a black light and see if u see little spots moving around in the white parts.if not then shes not pregnant.
