Actually, I don't think people will take the time to exploit it or change their geo location. If the person is too lazy to go to the gym, what makes you think they'll take the time and effort to figure out how to exploit this?
And I thought I was wasting money on the gym membership, the only problem is that I probably still wouldn't find the motivation and would lose money every day. I'm going to take a nap now
Gaming a couple bucks out of this isn't exactly making money when you have to pay for your iphone service. Of all the ways to exploit people, this would be an odd choice.

Basically it's more "secure" than you think.
1.You must check in at a gym (verified by geo-location)
2. You must add a credit card (so that they can take your money, $5.00 a day when missed)
3. Get paid from the people who "missed" their workout and loss money.
