Lots more Ohio USA drive ins on The RQVOutdoorMoovies Channel. TRY: 1. midway drive in theater ravenna ohio USA 2. a cleveland ohio usa drive in theater that no longer exists 3. sky way drive in theater warren ohio usa 4. blue sky drive in theater wadsworth ohio usa 4. hi - road drive in theater kenton ohio 5. no movie tonight aka the burnside bummer 6. the impact of night of the living dead on the drive in theater 7. buck night at the northside
The STARLIGHT owner was so kind, it would have been nice to stay there for a showe, but we had to run...The HI-ROAD is one of my favorite segments. I offer it as a stand alone video on my channel. We lucked out with the former projectionist...and the nice coluple...watching the mopvie there was very cool.
What I find odd is that there are many cool drive in clips being ignored.....type into search the following: M-37 snack bar oddity................snack bar graffiti at the plainfield......AND........northland drive in theater petosky mi...............cool clips shouldn't be ignored! Of course the STARLITIGHT should paint their sign!
If it wasn't for that portable sign with movies listed on it, the STARLIGHT looked like a put on....that sign hasn't been painted in years? Why? It doesn't make any sense! Nice video though.
The four hundred surfers who watched part one but didn't watch part two are an enigma. I'm watching this backwards. Obviously, they had enough interest in drive ins to sample part one. I don't know, maybe part one is boring? I'd give part 2 5 out of 5 stars. The Hi Way is one of the coolest drive ins I've ever seen, especially the marque/ticket booth. Now I'm really curious as to why 700 views for part one filters down to less than 300 for part two. Was part one THAT bad?
The couple in the snack bar was a nice touch. The owner of the Hi Road seems to be serious about keeping the place running. The interview with the former projectionist was good...he seemed prepared. I like this multi part segment. I do agree with the people who think that the starlight should paint their sign. It looks abandoned and not painting it is downright weird! Does the Outdoor Moovies guy ever appear on screen or is it just his voice? Great Video...I'm on to PART 3!
To zaphod 1138: I agree with you that it doesn't make any sense for the starlight not to paint their sign. If I lived closer I'd buy the paint and volunteer to do it! I really liked Part TWo. The HI ROAD piece was great, with the interviews and very cool footage. The couple in the snack bar was also funny. The HI ROAD marque is VERY cool! The auto vu was nice too, even though it was cut off. I like this multi part road trip and I'm only half way through it!
part 2 was great, but the starlight auto theater shoud give a few local highschool kids free admission in exchange for painting the sign, or maybe use some of the obama economic incentive money to make the place look like its open, and get rid of that portable flee market sign. your one of the few driveins left please take pride in what you have, and Paint Your Sign. As for the hi-road very cool ticket booth/marque and you can read their sign!
I enjoyed watching the OHIO drive in trip videos because I never knew where it would go.
The HI ROAD was very cool, especially the ticket booth with the neon marquee above it.
Also, the audio interview with the owner was a treat. The AUTO VU footage got cut off, so, I look forward to seeing the rest of it, if you can post it? I've actually been to that one. The owners have really turned it around and it is a nice family drive in once again. Now I'm going to watch Part Three. Can't wait!
I wonder if the STARLIGHT is still open. Ya gotta love that couple at the HI ROAD!

Yeah, we wondered about the STARLIGHT sign, too, but at least it is still open!
