dude if you put 4.10 or 4.56 gears..w/ slicks ofcoarse..holy crap..i have an 01 4.8l ex cab w strage 2 tranny headers hp tune cai tb spacer full posi eaton w 4.56. and w 180k mi i run 14.53 w 20s all night..so just imagine..i mean if i put 15s w slicks mine wuld go prolly 14.1 or 14.2. and i wish i coulda ran it 100k mi ago..haha u gotta a flyin 4.8 man congrats

The 4.8 are great motors and rev quick. I had a 01 w/ the 4.8 and sold it, now have a 03 with 5.3 and yeah its got a wee bit more torque but the gas mpg sucks ass. I get 10-11 in a single cab 2wd no mods. my 4.8 had headers msd intake and exhaust plus hyper-tech and got around 15 maybe 16.5 on a good day.

@JayandJenn07 really my 03 has a 4.8 with pace setter headers summit dual exhaust K&N intake and a bully dog gas system i get probably 10 in town but i get 25-28 on the highway
