All sin begins in the heart (or mind as Mr. Allen said) and then it is exhibited in actions (as Jesus said). What he also said about "people, things and other people" was true as well. This is Dr. Jack Hyles. He influenced many to do great things for God. He spoke of his accomplishments to teach others how they could do it too. Many thousands learned and benefited from his preaching. Others assumed that such success was not possible without dishonesty. Better it is to be of an humble spirit with the lowly, than to divide the spoil with the proud." Pride is one of the most terrible things to have in the ministry. It will cause men to glorify themselves rather than glorify the Lord. Again, listen to his preaching sometimes. You will find him bragging on HIS accomplishments, rather than the blessings of the Lord.
Brother Hyles never advised anyone to commit suicide, sweetheart. As a matter of fact, he talked many people out of it. Most people will withdraw from someone who demands that people follow him. Brother Hyles was a servant, and that is why we chose to follow him.

Atheism doesn't need to prove that it's right because by definition alone, none existent things cannot be proven. Actually KJV derived from Greek scholars. Greek translated Hebrew into Greek then Greek was translated into English by King James scholars. Wine in Hebrew means juice. Not necessarily wine. Noah was drunk because wine (juice) was stored in barrel. The wine in bottom part of barrel had residue longer and fermented. Noah was celebrating in Ark and got drunk because he drank the bottom part of barrel.

Yes, the word for wine applied to non-fermented juice as well, and COULD have been meant this way here. But when we examine the context, we can easily see that it was indeed alcoholic wine.
From John 2:10 "Every man at the beginning doth set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse" Why would one do this?The good wine is served first, while the drinkers still have the ability to discern the difference. Once impaired, no one complains about "bad" wine.

I certainly know who the second cited person is, but I am not familiar with James Allen. What he says here is true though. All sin begins in the heart (or mind as Mr. Allen said) and then it is exhibited in actions (as Jesus said). What he also said about "people, things and other people" was true as well. The opposite is true as well. As a person turns from the "right", others will be affected to turn away from him. That is the "boomerang" effect of trust. It can be betrayed as Jack Hyles did.

This is Dr. Jack Hyles. He influenced many to do great things for God. He spoke of his accomplishments to teach others how they could do it too. Many thousands learned and benefited from his preaching. Others assumed that such success was not possible without dishonesty. He was envied, hated, criticized, lied about by bitter and disgruntled pastors who felt inadequate as leaders. It doesn't matter. He loved and was loved by thousands, including me. Hyles' preaching DVD's available on ebay.

BTW, why do people think that criticizing preachers who are wrong is such a wrong thing?? Jesus did it over and over in the Bible! They were the priests and Pharisees of that day and yet Jesus called them "white walls" and "blind guides" over and over! Paul withstood Peter "because he was to be blamed", but Paul had to criticize under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. Why? THEY WERE WRONG!! Could it be that he knew that he couldn't take the "heat" due to the failures in his ministry? Possibly! If you don't want criticism, then encourage your followers not to criticize, in fact, just ignore and coverup the failures in your heroes life? Concerning honesty, I heard a truly great preacher say this one time in seminary, "Fellows, if my ministry can't stand up to someone questioning me about my ethics, then I don't have much of a ministry . . . or ethics!" Smart man!!

Stop nitpicking. I have 3 heroes who have greatly influenced my life. Arnold Schwarzenegger, Richard Clayderman, and Jack Hyles. I'm a bodybuilder. I don't waste my time talking about Arnold being immoral when he was younger. He's my favorite bodybuilder. I'm also a pianist. I don't waste my time talking about how effeminate Richard is. He's my favorite pianist. It's usually the little guy who criticizes the big guy. The big guy is too busy to criticize.

I like Arnold and Clayderman as well!! As for immorality in Arnie, it is a totally different thing that what happened with JH!! Arnie has said it happened, JH ALWAYS denied that it ever happened, even though the evidence was enough to cause thousands of people to leave HIS church! And immoral conduct is much different for a pastor than for a bodybuilder as far as credibility goes. Not to mention the "coverup" of Dave Hyles. That's a whole 'nuther story, but an important part of the puzzle.

It's natural for any man who has accomplished something big in any area, whether in the ministry or secular work, to be proud. Brother Hyles was very aware of the danger of becoming arrogant, and since you've heard so many sermons from him, you should know that many times he preached sermons to himself as well as to his members warning them from pride. You can't always assume that what would motivate you to accomplish something is the same motive someone else would have. Continued above.......

I suggest you read Pro. 16:18-19. I'll just put it here; "Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall. Better it is to be of an humble spirit with the lowly, than to divide the spoil with the proud." Pride is one of the most terrible things to have in the ministry. It will cause men to glorify themselves rather than glorify the Lord. Again, listen to his preaching sometimes. You will find him bragging on HIS accomplishments, rather than the blessings of the Lord.

Brother Hyles never advised anyone to commit suicide, sweetheart. As a matter of fact, he talked many people out of it. Most people will withdraw from someone who demands that people follow him. Brother Hyles was a servant, and that is why we chose to follow him.
