Do you have a broadcast date for this show? I see that "40 Miles of Bad Road" got into the Top 40 in June of 1959, so maybe this show was right around that time. So, this would be very close to the time that Bobby did "Mack The Knife", the high point of his career.

The package for the video says it's 1957, but I know that's not right because, as you say, "40 Miles of Bad Road" didn't come out until 1959 and one of the prizes for the Miss April Showers contest is a 1959 Rambler. Jeff Bleiel doesn't have this show in his book on Bobby's career. It probably was summer because Bobby makes a comment about the weather being warm. It would be just prior to Mack success which was released as a single in August of 1959.
