  • i wanna go in the deep sea once in my life .... this is my dream .

  • beautiful! :) what course do I have to take to be able to work down there?

  • Those shots are really beautiful, Shania, and great choice of song, soul stirring. Loved it.

  • what´s the name of the song?

  • thanks for posting we viewed these wonderful pictures in our Science class today

  • i literally want to be a fish

  • Lovely video. I love the ocean, and the corals, but you can ( and it's very sad) certainly see the bleaching on the corals, despite their bright colors. The GBR is on my bucket list, and I hope it lasts, especially since the floods.

  • Ummmm pottery

  • Can anyone please give me the exact song name ? Thank you very much.

The great barrier reef is fantastic. It's the reason i want to move to Australia.

  • @deejayphazer It sounds like an orchestral version of a song that Whitney Huston sings, that, I'm pretty sure is called "I Will Always Love You".

  • @deejayphazer Unchained melody :)

  • I've never dived professionally before and I'm gonna heading to Cairns this year (and also wanna visit the Great Barrier Reef on a day-boat). Would anybody recommend me the first dive to be in the GB-Reef or should I take lessons before I'm gonna fly over there? Is there much to learn about diving before such a trip?

  • Very good photo's, it is very beautiful.

  • the beautiful music is a song called Unchained Melody by the Righteous Brothers, also recorded by Joni Mitchell.

  • Gonna be gone soon so get there while you can

  • wats the name of the song

  • @bonerears nice name

  • @digitalmicetails thanks i thot of it wile reading the bible jk

  • @bonerears lmao ha i dont believe in that shit

  • At 1:40 Holocanthus ciliaris. Native to the Tropical Atlantic Ocean.

  • I did not know that Carribean species can now be found on the Great Barrier Reef.

  • Enjoyed. Haven`t seen the G.B. for yonks. Great photos.

  • LIKE "SUPPORTING CORAL CONSERVATION" ON FACEBOOK

  • I have sworn to myself that i will one day dive there :D its so beatiful :D

  • lovelu yruly magical. I like the use of "Unchained Melody". In a way quite appropriate

  • love the song choice. Beautiful

  • Gorgeous stuff - too bad it's not video live action.

  • Fabulous job . . . !

  • Yeah, I'm sure all of the magnificent colors, stinging tendrils and spiny creatures were an act of "God" and not actually the constant life and death struggle that forces the extremes we see in evolution.

The world is intense, beautiful and magical without giving all of the credit to some mythical man in the sky. Open your eyes and respect these things for what they are, not for some supreme being that created them.

  • How can anyone think there is no GOD

  • @mylittlelovejoy Amen. For those who doubt God's awesome exsistance all they have to do is take the time to look at all the wonderful beauty our world has!!!

  • @cals07stang I couldn't agree more. Well said!

  • good job the pictures are GOREGEOUS:d

  • it is really beautiful

  • Very nice images and wonder music!!!! Perla.

  • wow!so pretty

  • only if they could pave the reef and make underwater coal powered power plants

  • omg!! in my choice the great barrier reef is the most beutiful place in the world my bucket list- 1,- got to go to the amazon rain forest! 2,- go to great barrier reef!! those r just my nature ones!!!

  • gods creation is so amazing

  • Awesome upload! Thanx!

  • davidsmith easysearch org uk

search with this and help reef research!!

  • hello

  • And yeah this is about the GREAT Barrier Reef we are comments about!! and Nature did it on its own like in so many things the nature have creataed So So much and we The Dangerous Predator of all time "Human Race" Just KEEP Destroying what Mother Earth have trying to build up for so many millions of years we are IDIOTS ..

And yeah nice vid it made my day alot better and to see what soon will be gone :) Im Glad i saw it Peace. hope i gave you something to think about Peace Out :D

  • totally agree with you on that

  • And under Many Many Many years, They Manage to PERFECT every little detali spot on and under these Many Many years, they manage to Build fancy Churches and so on... So it would be more believable and attractive to the eye and minde for the weaker mind person, and when we now are used to Churches and the Bible and so on it has become our Nature our Normal lifestyle, do you understand what me so far? i hope so... This isJUST in my point of view onThe Bible Hope i didnt piss sombody off. Peace!

  • Hope i dont offends some one with this comment 1.if the Bible is true where is the Proof? This is how i look at it. Many Many years ago when we werant born, some one Wrote A Good Night story for children, and many many years later they twist it and change it so the story will be so perfect, that the next and next and next GENERATION will bevlive that this and that realy happend and those with the weaker mind will fall for it. OFC they got spokes men for this /preists and under many years More>

  • You can`t forse some one to make them belive in what others or maybe you belive in.. and so, we all think difrent ways about MANY things in life and about life Creation. I will tell you mine.

In my second post sry forthat but when i saw the other posts il just have to.

    Peace

  • Nice video! Um, you guys, I don't think you should be offensive about other peoples beliefs or try to force your own beliefs onto others as fact when neither of you cannot categorically prove what you say. Especially when this is a comments box for a video about the great barrier reef

  • awesome-very nice

  • amazing pictures. I´m a big fan of nature, especially under water-nature. the great barrier reef is awesome. I hope I will be able to go there some time.

  • This is so beautiful! I don't see how anyone who watches this can deny that there is a creator.

  • there is a creator of reefs. it's called science and rock

  • And there is a creator of science and rock, and His name is the Lord God Almighty! One day every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that He is Lord!

  • Come on.. creator.. This is nature, there is no creator, no god, no jesus, no allah.. The Nature, a mix of chemistry and phisics..

  • keep your ignorant, non believer comments to yourself.

  • i'm free to say what i want, everywhere i want.. (i'm shaix2389 with an other account)

  • ya and you sound like an idiot. You look at all this, did humans create this, no. God created everything and thats what we have today. God's work. Your ignorance is annoying.

  • humans didn't creeate this, god didn't create this.. all in the world in an agglomerate of chemistry parts, united by physics laws.. you stupid belief are annoying.. we are in the third millenium and there is people still believing in adam and eva, in a person who lived in a big fish.. come on..

  • all i can say is good luck in the afterlife. i hope you'll open your eyes at some point and realize that there is a creator. God!

  • all i can say is there's not afterlife! you (and all we) will be a polluted meat, eaten by worms and bacters.. There's no life after this.. open your eyes religiolus..

  • It's one thing if you dont believe, but to try and tell me that there's no afterlife, that just aint gunna work. If thats the way you fell then thats you. Only you can change yourself, but dont try to tell me there's no afterlife, cuz your wasting your time

  • only me knows what i think.. i don't wanna change your mind, i'm explaning you my point of view.. I'm sure that's no god, no creator.. Anyway, i'm italian, and i can't explain you my opinions as i'd want..

  • Whatever you want to believe is your own opinion, but I at least still tell others about God cuz thats my faith. And i'm Italian too, my mother's parents moved to the US. Family is from Sicily, and our family name is Messina.

  • Cumpari sicilianu!!!! Allora parli come me!! Io sono pure siciliano.. I'm sicilian too.. i respect your opinion.. If you have an aquarium, visit my website about tropical fishes, it's in italian..

  • Wow, great slideshow, to get a better glimpse of God's creation, other than the behind the scenes footage the film makers show on the film "finding Nemo"!

  • Oh MAN I want to visit that place! I see I need to get myself a waterproof camcorder before I do!! 0:57 is my favorite one, so colorful and I absolutely love your choice of music. It really adds more emotion to the scenery. ♪ ♫

  • How did you put those musical notes in your comment.

  • I've seen people with little things like that in their MySpace screen names, although I don't know where THEY got them. So whenever I see a special character like that I paste it onto my YouTube channel so if I want to express myself as such (a ♥ or ღ if I refer to someone I'm very taken with, an ☂ to express melancholy or to extend condolence, etc) I just have to go to my channel and copy whatever I want to paste on a comment. Have a ☼ Day! : )

  • really nice video! it just show's buy looking at all of this that there is a creator!!!!

  • Shania, I loved your video!! WE ARE NOT ALONE!! When my late Grandfather was passing, he said to my Mom, Mumma, look, the colors, theyre beautifull!! Im going home!! and he passed. Your video is a bit of heaven on Earth. Thankyou!!

  • whats the thing at 2:34

    :S

  • im thinking its the reed from up in the sky looking down

  • @ShaniaRichards its a carribean reef lobster most of those photos are of things not in aussie

  • looks like a lobster, what kind i dont know

  • @kaex5 I believe it to be a Blue Lobster!

  • @kaex5

  • @kaex5 its a huge shrimp :D known with the best eyesight

  • @kaex5 lobster

  • @kaex5 painted crayfish. local kind of lobster.

  • @kaex5

I BELIEVE IT IS A LOBSTER

  • These shots of the coral, fish, and marine life on the Great Barrier Reef are narvelous. I went out there on a catamarin from the cruise ship I was on. The reef itself is nearly two hours sailing distance offshore in the Pacific from the Australian Coast. It is the largest living reef in the world, and indescribably beautiful. The government is guarding it full time, to protect it from visiting yachts and seaplanes. It must be preserved!

  • who gave those thumbs down? whats wrong with a Grouper adapting to a fresh water environment!

  • pro:everything you see when you go underwater

con:the boat ride(i got very sick)

  • is SHS for Snohomish High School????

  • omg that would be weird cause i live there!!!

  • Nope not enjoying it

  • this is SO beutiful i cried at how beutiful this was!! it's pains me to know that humans ruin reefs similer to this one :(

  • Yes, however truth is that weather and sea creatures do so equally. Tangs specifically are VERY hard on the reefs. Education goes very far and if Master Divers will teach people the importance of respecting these, I believe that would help somewhat. As long as there is wildlife that likes to eat them, they will always struggle.

  • too bad Groupers cant live in fresh water. theyre cool!

  • the great barrier reef is salt water not fresh water

  • the trade in these creatures is enormous.

  • I live in Queensland Australia but I've never been to the reef before!! Me and my mate lindsay want to go when we get enough money but until then all we can do is hope.

  • how much would you have to pay? Is it really that much?

  • Fantastic video!!! The music is brilliantly chosen!!! :) Could anybody tell me the title of this song, please?? It´d be very important for me!!!!!!

  • Cant think of the name, but it came from the movis "Ghost" with Demi Moore and Parteick Swayze

  • The music is from thhe song unchained melody...but its an orchestra playing so dunno where you'd get it!

  • That Is So Beautiful I Almost Started To Cry!

  • you barely see the reef filled with colour anymore....when i was 5 it was the most prettiest thing I ever saw...nowadays I would only if it was on a private boat...if you go to the tourist hotspot it looks pretty uninviting!

  • such a beautiful queen angelfish at 1:41 its my next addition to my tank it is a shame tho that these people are destroying the reef because soon there wont be this type of hobby anymore thats y when someone at work wants a fish i only sell it to someone where i know its going to a good home because everyday people are buying these fish and corals and anenomes and they put them in thier tank and they live for a week and die so if anybody reading has a reef tank make sure u can provide for fish

  • It is not good enough to say "It is a shame the reefs are dying" Stop population growth and save the planet, it is the only way.

  • I really love this video!!! It makes me feel so nice! I really want to go to the Great Barrier Reef!!! Thank you for postiong this wonderful video!!!

  • your welcome, it is quite amazing

  • I Like Your Opinon On This Video! I Almost Cryed When I Watched This Video!

  • wow...wonderful pictures!!

    :-)

  • Beautiful song for this!

  • i agree...the song was amazing for this video!!

    :-)

  • Yerp its s shame that coral reefs are dieing out due to the affects of global warming, tourism and over fishing :( save the reefs

  • very sad that global warming and human pollution is causing so much destruction to these spectacular reefs.

  • SAVE THE REEFS!!!!!!

  • amazing!!!

  • Beautiful - and the music fits perfectly.

  • jellyfish r kinda scary... on the other hand, the ocean is an amazing beautiful place!!

  • really stunning posting.. vibrant beautys of the deep. to a truly beautiful song...

  • shark!!! lol

  • Beautiful music and video

I ´ll share this with my friends

    Regards

    Susana

  • please give me the name of the song it is so beautiful but i can not find

  • "Unchained Melody"

  • what a beautiful movie!

  • Its a shame the reef is dissapearing I saw it last easter it was great, loved it. I wish their was something we could do to save it, if there was I would do it

  • wonderful!thaks for sharing...I love the corals...

  • Not really relevant, I've just got a bit of a thing for coral and sea anemones!

  • Beautiful video set to one of my all time favourite piece of music. There are no colours so brilliant as nature made them, and fish especially are gifted with these magnificent colours, - oh and birds of course.

  • very nice

  • It really is amazing to see these beautiful pictures of one of the world's most graceful places... I really hope that the world will learn to take care of the GBR.

  • Unfortunately this beautiful habitat is disappearing. Reefs all over the world are in peril. And 20-30 years is optimistic. It will be half that. The sad part is, is that it's to late to do anything now. The oceans are dying. And when they are dead we will be too.

  • itz so gorgeous!!!

  • its..so....pretty.....i wanna see it before i go. seeing your movie and the music you put to it (great choise) its awsome ;)

  • I cant believe I lived in Melbourne for almost 3 years .. and never took the time to go and see brisbane and the reef .. One of my regrets in this life :( but thstd life .. 1 big lesson .. I got myself a see aqarium with korals .. they bringing it 2morrow morning :-) I try to make a vidio and put it up on you tube .. dont regret I came back to my Homeland Holland though :-)

  • it better still bloody be there because i am coming this summer!!!!!

  • very cool

  • why do people say the coral reefs are being destroyed? is is true, how is it happening? I cant believe a beautifull piece of nature like this could be destroyed. very nice vid

  • Yes it is true. Causes can be routed to hunting (such as lobster or various fish) or even boats. Each animal works together in a reef so when that is distrubted its mayham.

  • but i think the gbr's protected and it's not allowed to hunt n shit there, or am i wrong?

  • that might be part of it... the biggest problem facing the reef is humans and our effect on the environment. Without intervention the reef will be totally bleached out in 20 - 30 years... at least that's what I was told.

  • god that sucks, thanks for telling me

  • Great video!

  • i like fish

  • nature is truly amazing

  • beautiful thats all i can say
