This game could have been successful, IMHO, if the choices of possible numbers had been narrowed down. Barker had said "that missing number looks like a 3 or an 8. You paint in which of those two choices you think it is. The odds would have been the same as Double Prices or Side By Side. This game had some creative thought put into it. When won, chaser lights in the picture frame sparkle. It would have been funny to have someone draw a one while a rounded bottom was showing.
I remembered only seeing this game on the Price is Right once. The man was going for a brass bed and he lost. This is a hard game to play because it only gave a little piece of the last number. It did get a "low" amount of winners in the game.
I haven't seen this game much on The Price is Right. I only saw it once played on The Price is Right and that contestant lost. He was playing for a brass bed.
Its like a 1-Digit Bullseye. At least u got 7 chances to completely guess 4 digits in Bullseye 72. In Gallery Game, you get 1 chance to guess 1 digit. That gives you a 1/10 chance of winning, which is only 10%. I can see why this game wasnt around long. Its like the bullseye of 1990s.
Not exactly. You didn't have a 1/10 chance of winning. For example, in this playing, the last number couldn't have been a 1, 2 (look at the other 2s), 4, or 7. This means there is (in this playing) a 1/6 chance of winning.
@spunker88 part of the number is pre-painted if you look at the price, in this case it could have only be a 3,5,6,8,0, so it is a 1 in 5 or 20% chance, but even still, not good odds.

WAIT A MINUTE! Bob gave her the number! He drew a zero at 0:35. Look at it again.

Looks like he drew a 4. Or possibly a trident.

I think the reason why this game was retired is because it had a low win rateage.
