Great video. Used to have one of these radios when I was 12. Wish I would have never got rid of it, as I'm into cb more then I was then for sure. Probably will get a 2000 again sometime.

can adding the ground plane kit eliminate the need of using a steel mast?

I got an Imax and im having suuch a hard time putting that thing on the air.....The lack of open space to do the job is killing me!

am thinking of buying an imax 2000 and wanted to know what your opion of the imax 2000 that you are now useing? and if the gpk kit was also worth the extra dollars?

I've heard good & negative responses on the GPK. A 50-50 on it beening effective. It works for me. Enjoy the IMAX 2000 with what it has to offer. Thanks for viewing the video, Bulldog.

does it do fm as well ?if so swing your beam around towards the uk and we can have a chat we have 80 channels here.. the lower 40 are the same as in the usa but on fm only ..sadly am is illegal here on cb at the moment

tnx bulldog for reply ,im working at my inner section of my cb tower ,it was all rusty and has took a nose dive to the ground , my brother and me are making a new one so its taking time to build ,hope to be finished before the weekend so we can get the 4 element yagi beam, we put the tower up in 1990 and it was second hand to us as we bought it from a nother cb'er, so we didnt know how long he it , yuo have a nice day there in the usa.hope ya had a nice 4th july,..
