No. What happened in dec-january simply proved (if needed, as only hypocrits can pretend not knowing) what it means to be a Palestinian. I am third generation to the holocaust. never ever I got any human right movement to protect me. This is one of the last videos that Al Jazeera allowed comments on. Apparently, Al Jazeera has unilaterally decided that their version of news isn't open to discussion. The Associated Press Channel still allows comments, as does the United Press, Reuters, and the rest. Does Al Arabiyah have a YT channel? I'm un-subscribing to AJ English because they disabled comments. As for the schools: when Hamas stops using them for launch sites for Qassam rockets, my guess is Israel will stop bombing them.

well i'm sure if they have decided to disable comments on their videos it's primarily becuase of all the racist and bigotted individuals who troll thier vids, just so they can spew their hatred- pathetic that some people have nothing better to do than writing offensive and insulting comments on vids about sensitive issues btw how much more one-sided can you get? i suppose in your opinion Israel is 100% innocent in all this? both sides kill and both sides hate and both are guilty in this!

IMHO, it has more to do with something else entirely. I personally find trolls and the like indentify themselves with their 1st comments. The whole voting thing is a joke too. You probably down voted my comment before you responded to it...Why vote a comment out of existance? I say let everyone have their say. For that, and my opinion, which differs from the Arab/Muslim paradigm, I'm attacked too. Free and open debate is a good thing. Clear voices are heard above the din of trolls and bigots.

your opinion does not only oppose those held by the extreme ideologies in the ME it is also something which alot of people in the West also disagree with- you don't need to try and alienate both culture's perceptions of Israeli policy, you might be suprised to find out that MANY people of many religions share a common shock and disgust with the actions of both the IDF and Hamas- not all of us blindly support one side, some intelligent people are prepared to open their minds

As for Western perception of Israel, I only speak for me, but on that note, I wonder if you were aware that today 4/21/09 as Ahmadinejad was ranting about Israel's "racist government", almost all of the Western delegates got up and left the room.

Im perfectly aware of the hypocrisy of some (if not most) of the leaders in the Muslim world- Durban 2 has become a pantomime, with Israel at the centre stage- when in fact it should actually be about people who suffer discrimination in the WHOLE world- including Muslims, Jews, Christians etc. The point of contention with AJ's comment disabling is that their videos have become platforms of hate and not platforms of discussion, those wishing to debate issues will find other outlets i'm sure

I do agree with you on one thing, whilst I sympathise with the Palestinians I would also like to see more coverage about the life of Israeli's- I don't know why there aren't as many videos or coverage on this issue, maybe because AJ is restricted in Israel but I think they should try and present a more balanced argument- however AJ is still one of the best reporting out there, they cover so many areas geographically, politically and socially- great journalism which albeit could be better

Yep, no doubt. History is repeating itself right before our eyes. What is ironic, is that the dogs that Israelis soldiers use are German shepards. Many once celebrated the fall of the Berlin wall, but another was built in Israel.
