  • @Generalvaldez Actually the right way to learn is to practice the four different tones. Some may sound like Cantonese or something because Cantonese or Mandarin are Chinese language, one is official whereas the other is dialect.

  • @ilchinese cantonese isnt a dialect its a full language. Many people misinterpret the meaning of the word dialect. Dialect is a just a variation of the mother language. Speaking with jargon is a form of dialect. Dialect is ALWAYS mutually intelligible with the mother language. Cantonese and Mandarin are far from being mutually intelligible.
