Yes, last drag on a recumbent then a diamond frame bike; however, nearly all the recumbents are heavier, by almost ten lbs or more. So you gain here but lose there. So no real advantage. I like the recuments because of all the stares.......

The aerodynamic advantage is why recumbents are banned in bicycle road races. Too much of an advantage over "regular" bikes.
